Please share - important change to meeting on 19th March

Dear all,

The meeting next Thursday will be held online via Zoom and not in person at Norfolk Row - please share this news (media images attached).
Sarah, will you be able to let the teenagers and families you work with at SCH know about the meeting anyway please? Younger teens might be very interested (fingers crossed!).

Many thanks indeed everyone.

Warmest wishes

News - 19/3/26 Transition from Children's to Adults' Care

Dear everyone,

Please share the attached publicity as widely as you can as we are looking at the success and challenges of supporting teenagers in transitioning from the children's team to be welcomed into adult care.
Everyone is welcome as always, and we really want to make this a very welcoming group meeting; it will as always be compelling and captivating with presentations from Dr Jackie Elliott and Sarah Hawnt. Discussion and questions will be welcomed at this friendly group meeting.
Please share on screens in waiting rooms and everywhere else possible; press releases and texts to young people, families, teachers and grandparents are great too!

With our warmest wishes

Dr David Unwin, who has been a very popular presenter to the Sheffield Diabetes UK Group in 2021 and 2023, will be on Channel 4 this Thursday, January 8th, from 8pm, in a programme about tackling diabetes and needing less medication.
Bernie, Frank and Rauf spoke at Sheffield's fabulous Diabetes and Hope Gala on Nov 8th last year, about how they have made changes to their lifestyles and have reduced their weight and the amount of medication they need, and how much healthier and confident they feel now - it's really fabulous to know how much can be done to help our health improve!
Watch Channel 4 on Thursday!
