We've been talking about the classes, now let's celebrate the amazing people who make it all happen.

Say hi to our amazing Sheffield yoga team — the friendly faces ready to welcome you to the mat. Whether you’re looking to find your flow, build strength, or just breathe a little easier, we’re here to support you all the way.

We love working together to make sure yoga feels open, accessible, and fun for everyone, no matter which class you join. Come be part of our yoga community.

Seriously though, this pose has resorative benefits to people who spend all day on their feet.

Coming into an inversion (feet above the heart) is the opposite of our daily body position for most people, so it can help us relax in new ways that are totally separate from our daily tasks.

Many of my students find spending time in this posture helps with fluid retention in their feet, restless or achy legs & feet and dizziness.

The blanket on the abdomen is often helpful for people who find being still difficult. Gentle weight can aid with feelings of safety.

There is no such thing as too many cushions when doing this, it’s about comfort, so if you need support somewhere, add a cushion.

Sadly, I can’t bring enough cushions to classes to make this a group activity but if you would like to work with me 1:1, I currently have space on Mondays. Pop me a message to discuss your needs.

Thank you to Jo Brierley for leading our workshop today exploring boundaries and tuning into our body.
These are a few of my personal reflections.
Huge thanks to everyone who attended. It was a lovely opportunity to do something quite different and inspiring.

You’re not alone, most of us have done it at some point.

But it’s not an easy way to live and it can really have an impact on your physical and mental health.

If you’re ready to make a shift and get some energy back the first step is to reconnect with your own inner boundaries. The YES, NO and Maybe’s.

Then our workshop this Saturday is just what you need.

Sit with that thought for a minute, how does it feel?

Do you find yourself saying yes when you really mean no — or holding back when your whole body says yes?

Join us for an empowering Boundaries Workshop with Jo Brierley — exploring how your body says yes, no, and maybe.

Thank you Mog, for modelling a great flop response.

When we face long periods of stress or trauma, our nervous system spends too much time on high alert (in fight and flight mode.) trying to keep us safe.

Eventually, it runs out of energy, and we can end up with the flop response. Making even small tasks feel too much.

It’s important to remember if this happens to you

It’s not your fault!

It’s your body’s way of dealing with being overwhelmed.

You need to allow yourself time to do things that feel right for you, such as breath work and gentle movement. To show your body it’s ok to come out of survival mode and allow your nervous system the chance to rest and reset.

As someone who loves to geek on all things to do with the neuroscience of yoga, I enjoy helping people understand this and show them how to support themselves to feel better and prevent future flops.
