Let me stop you right there!
You are allowed to do ANYTHING you want with regards to birthing your baby.
Would I advise that you research all options? Absolutely!
But simply accepting that you are 'not allowed' to do X Y or Z does not need to happen.
Do your research (from sensible evidence based places - so not online forums) and make the informed choice that is right for you and your baby.

Will you find out what you're having? (other than a baby obvs)
Do you think you know?
If you've already had baby did you have a guess?
Were you right?
My babies were all born before gender reveals were really a thing - I was right on the s*x of all of them though!

This depends very much on height!
Ideally, your knees should be about 10cm lower than your hips when sitting on it.
This means that generally speaking a person of 5ft 8 and under will need a 65cm ball while a person over 5ft 8 will need a 75cm ball.
I'm only 4ft 11 tall and used a small one with slightly less air in it - it worked well!

'A watched pot never boils?' 👀
I certainly find that in labour.
Watching the clock makes everything harder.
It makes things feel longer.
It can become a negative focus.
I can highly recommend (having done it both ways) that either covering up or facing away from the clock and not counting the hours, minutes and seconds makes everything so much more manageable. It can put you in a much better frame of mind which in turn makes the sensations you are experiencing easier to handle.
If you'd like more tips for labour and birth you can grab my online hypnobirthing course for just £19 which includes all four sessions, birth plan templates and hypnobirthing MP3s.

'What if I want an epidural?'
Have one!
Hypnobirthing isn’t about saying no to pain relief or having a specific kind birth. It’s about understanding your options, feeling calm and confident, and making the choices that are right for YOU in the moment.
If an epidural is part of your plan or something you decide you want during labour that’s completely fine.
Hypnobirthing works with your choices, not against them. No pressure, no judgement, just informed decisions and support for whatever birth path feels right for you.

It’s exactly what it sounds like! If you feel someone isn’t listening to you when you have told them your birth plans simply calmly repeat yourself. For example ‘thank you for the OFFER but I am having a home birth’. If someone persists just keep repeating yourself. They’ll get the message! Happy Birthing ❤️ Becky xx
