Congratulations to our SWFC Community Cup Champions: Barnsley Town FC ⚽🏆!

This event was organised by Sheffield Wednesday Community and took place on Saturday 19th July.

The rain was tipping it down, but that didn’t stop us from having a fantastic day which raised vital funds for our charity!

⚽️ Team Weston Park have been at SMH Group Stadium today for our first Chesterfield FC Community Trust takeover day! ⚽

Our volunteers have been busy bucket collecting, to raise vital funds for people living with cancer. Thank you to everyone who donated today, every pound helps to change and save lives 💜.

Let’s hear it for star baker Debbie, who hosted a Time for Tea party for friends and family recently ⭐🧁...

"On Saturday 12th July, the hottest day in Sheffield so far, I held a Tea & Cake party in my garden to support Weston Park Cancer Charity.

"We had a few challenges with the weather but we didn’t change the goal, the plan was additional parasols, ice cold drinks, and suncream!

"It was very well received with approximately 30 amazing people in attendance from my neighbourhood, friends and family.

"We were treated to a piano repertoire of classical music and incredible magic tricks from my very talented neighbour Sarah.

"My friend, Fiona, came and supported me with her little stall (ConchCoveShells) and gave back a percentage to the charity as well.

"Together we raised an amazing £427.50. I would like to thank everyone who supported this event. I really appreciate your kindness. 🙏"

⚽ We can't wait for our first Chesterfield FC takeover day!⚽

We’ll be at the SMH Group Stadium on Saturday (26th July) for the local derby friendly against Sheffield United.

You’ll spot us in Weston Park purple with collection tins in hand!

We’re also really pleased to welcome Chesterfield FC to our ‘Together at Every Step’ partnership, which brings local football clubs together to raise vital funds!

Great to see new chairs installed in the Radiotherapy Department, thanks to our small grants scheme!

The previous chairs had gone through their fair share of wear and tear. The new vinyl chairs are comfy, durable, and make the space feel welcoming for patients 💜.

🏌️ Half a million raised! 🏌️

You heard that right… the annual Weston Park Cancer Charity Golf Day has now raised over £500k for people living with cancer!

The event was launched in 2010 by our charity patron John Price 💜.

This year’s event saw 44 teams competing – with Team Glenmuir topping the leader board 🏆.

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of the players, volunteers, and sponsors who have contributed to this event over the years, including:

- Our hosts Hallamshire Golf Club
- Our headline sponsors Special Steel Group
- Maggie May's Sheffield for providing drinks
- Glenmuir for supplying t-shirts for all of our golfers

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at Sacmha, for a special Minority Mental Health Awareness Month event.

At the event, we asked attendees to share their words of encouragement. We loved these beautiful messages 💜.

🚐 Our Big Purple Bus visits SACMHA on the 3rd Thursday of every month 1pm - 3pm (next date: 21st Aug).

If you have questions about cancer, please drop by. Our on-board healthcare professionals will be ready to help.

🗨️ “Definitely use the charity bus. It’s there, it’s free and it takes your mind off having to drive. It just relaxes you. You get off the bus at Weston Park for your treatment and then the bus is waiting for you to bring you back home. So definitely, please use it!”

Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity is returning to our Cancer Support Centre to run three specialist support groups.

These sessions are open to anyone who has been impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis.

They enable individuals to connect, ask questions, and share experiences in a safe, welcoming space💜.

A lovely message from our wonderful Charity Patron, Mick Allsop...

"The one and only Harry Redknapp did it again for Weston Park Cancer Charity ⭐!

For the second year Harry gave up a day to play golf with three auction winners from the 'Posh Do' evening last November.

Andrew, Mike and Harry arrived at the lovely Remedy Oak Golf Club on Friday on a perfect sunny day 😎.

The three said it was an absolute pleasure to play with Harry, he was great company and such a fun guy to be around!

The golf was nip and tuck all the way round with a par on the 18th enough to seal a win for Harry and Neil against Mike and Andrew. What a day! 🙌

Many thanks too to Peter Storrie for helping to make this happen."
