We headed out into the beautiful Derbyshire countryside today, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. One of our ladies took on the role of tour guide and GPS, leading us through the scenic lanes like a pro.

Driving past the Matlock farms, we even caught sight of some tiny lambs bouncing around in the fields — a real springtime highlight. 🐑💛

On the way home we stopped off at a garden centre to pick out some plants for our newly built courtyard planters. We can’t wait to see the space come to life! 🌿🌸

What an unforgettable afternoon at Sheffield Wednesday’s Memory Club! ⚽️

Reminiscence is such a powerful way to spark joy for people living with dementia, so when the invitation arrived, we couldn’t say yes fast enough.

We spent the day chatting with retired football legends and reliving the glory days of the beautiful game. The smiles, the stories, the laughter — absolutely priceless.

🏌️‍♀️ What a fantastic day with our Golf Society!

This is always one of our residents’ favourite sporting activities, and today’s competition was a nail-biter right to the end.

After five weeks of close calls, we finally had a female winner — huge congratulations to Jean! 🎉 Well played and well deserved! ⛳👏

Finally, the sun has decided to show up and we are ready for it ☀️

We’ve made the most of the balcony today — soaking up every bit of sunshine while staying refreshed with some Bric Vic oranges 🍊

Out discussion topic was all about our favourite flowers and all the beautiful ones we’re planning to buy for our garden spaces 🌸🌿

Sunshine, good vibes, and garden dreams… what more could you want?

We welcomed the local choir Glee Bah Gum today, and as they say, “if you’re in the room, you’re in the choir.” 🎶

They were incredibly uplifting, full of great melodies and fun 🥰 It was wonderful to see such positive feedback from our residents, as well as visiting family members.

Happy St George’s Day from everyone at The Porterbrook! 🇬🇧

Today we celebrated in style, with our reception and dining tables beautifully decorated for the occasion. The day was filled with fun and laughter as we enjoyed themed quizzes, puzzles, and lively discussions together.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, sharing stories, and embracing the spirit of the day. Thank you to all who helped make it so special!
