What is the Sheffield Support Hub? 🧠💙🩷

We have had lots of new clients in the last couple of months so wanted to reintroduce ourselves 👋

• Sheffield Support Hub offers free out-of-hours mental health support in a comforting non-judgemental and non-clinical environment to those living in Sheffield aged 16 and over.

• Our experienced staff of Crisis Recovery Workers and Peer Support Workers are available to provide emotional, social, and practical support during your appointment which will typically last 45 minutes.

• You can come to us in-person or contact us over the phone, and there is no need to make an appointment as we are a drop-in service only.
*During busier periods this may result in you having to wait to speak to a member of staff.

What we do not offer:
❌ Therapy programmes
❌ Diagnosis or medication
❌ Referrals (though we will always signpost to other services/organisations that we feel may benefit you)

Please note, we cannot provide support to you via this channel.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger please call 999 or go to your nearest A&E.

To contact the service and view our opening hours, please visit www.mhm.org.uk/sheffield-support-hub for more information.

The Sheffield Support Hub offers free mental health support in a welcoming, comfortable, non-judgmental, and non-clinical environment.

Some good-to-know bits about our groups📢

• Groups begin at 7pm on weekdays and 3pm on weekends. We kindly ask that clients don’t arrive early for groups as we have limited space to wait if we already have clients in a 1-1 session.

• There is no pressure to stay for the whole 2 hours and you are welcome to leave or take a break at any time.

• If there is an activity or idea that you’d like to see at the Hub then please do let the Peer Support Worker know and we can look at whether this is possible.

Thank you to everyone who has attended our groups in April, they have been a real success!

Keep an eye out for our May timetable being posted later this week 👀

🩷💙

Reminder: all of these are okay 💚

Feeling your emotions. Asking for help. Putting yourself first. Being assertive. Doing things at your own pace.

Sometimes we need to see it written down.

A very important post🏳️‍⚧️

Trans people deserve safety, dignity, and support every day, not just today 🏳️‍⚧️

Being a good ally isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up, learning, and taking responsibility.

Trans people carry a lot, from misgendering and assumptions, to hostility and fearmongering across the media, it all takes a real toll on mental health 🧠

For Trans Day of Visibility, we’re sharing five practical ways you can support trans people’s mental health ✨
