🚨 We’re Recruiting: Control Room Dispatcher (Events) Part-Time/Occasional - Sheffield 🚨
Echo Fire and Medical Ltd are looking for a dedicated and attentive individual to join our major venues and events team as a Control Room Dispatcher.
In this vital role, you’ll be based in the main event control room alongside security, event managers, emergency service agencies and other key stakeholders.
Your responsibility will be to:
* Dispatch and coordinate Echo’s medical response teams to incidents across the venue.
* Record and document communications with our crews in real time.
* Work closely with security, event management and other emergency service colleagues to ensure swift, effective, and professional responses to any medical incidents.
This isn’t a main ambulance control room role, it’s an event-based position, playing a key part in keeping hundreds of thousands of visitors safe at concerts, stadiums, and arena events each year.
We’re looking for someone who is:
✅ Calm and confident under pressure
✅ Organised and attentive to detail
✅ A clear communicator with strong teamwork skills
✅ Keen to make a real difference in safety and emergency response
🕒 Shifts are primarily evenings and weekends, aligning with public event times. This is a part-time/occasional position, ideal for retired police officers or military personnel seeking flexible work within a multidisciplinary team, as well as individuals with relevant emergency services or control room experience.
