This is one part of what preparation looks like for a workshop . Kind of messy right ? As a yoga teacher or group holder for body work there is so much work involved to get the finished package to our clients that is unseen .
My prep today was mostly practical , carefully curating the poses in a certain order . Finding the different variations of poses with use of props to accommodate all the different body types and abilities of the attendees that will be at the workshop. Notes written to inform everyone why we do the poses , what meridians we are focusing on , how the poses affect us physically, mentally , emotionally .
This morning was a couple of hours of prep for just one part of the workshop . I’ve spent more time before today gathering information , reading , writing notes and there’s more work to do . I absolutely LOVE doing what I do , bringing peace to someone’s monkey mind and ease of movement into bodies that need some tlc is definitely rewarding but as you can see it’s a not so perfect journey to get the final masterpiece ! My little yoga space at home where I put it all together isn’t fancy or Instagram perfect but it gets the job done . This is how most teachers will work no doubt 🙂 welcome to our world ! It’s not sugar coated or full of fancy yoga poses more time than not but we continue to study , practice, create and curate to bring the wonderful science of Yoga to those who are willing to receive 😊
See you in practice or at my next workshop xx
