Most of my posts are about what 'Reflexology is'. But here's one about what 'Reflexology is NOT'!

Reflexology is not a massage and not a medical treatment!

Nope, it's not! ❌

First and foremost, reflexologists do not diagnose illness, nor do they practice medicine. Only licensed physicians are allowed to do that according to law. Neither does a reflexologist treat specific diseases. (Even though most of my clients tell me very specifically what their problems are, and I may know medically what ailments they suffer from.)

Reflexologists never proceed as if reflexology is going to cure the problems. We may spend extra time working the reflex area on the feet (hands/ears/face) that correspond to the part that is portraying the symptoms, with positive results, but our work can not be classified as a medical treatment as such.

Yes, people do report experiencing relief from symptoms, reduction in pain, balancing of imbalances and improvement in many areas of their health and wellbeing.

Reflexology interrupts the patterns of stress in the body. Both external and internal stressors. It gives the body the opportunity to tap in to its innate healing abilities, and thus be able to get on with trying to heal itself!

So, reflexology does facilitate healing, and very often that may be alongside the medical advice and treatment you are receiving from your doctor, or other medical practitioners.

I think many therapists are so busy giving treatments, they don't always take the time to receive their own.

Having seen the difference regular reflexology treatments can make, I asked Helen from Wyming Brook Clinical Reflexology (a fellow level 5 graduate) if she wanted to exchange maintenance reflexology appointments every 4 weeks.

I had my second treatment with Helen on Friday and we were both so much more relaxed for the rest of the day! I cancelled my evening plans and enjoyed the space I'd created to recharge.

Reflexology, along with a reiki share with my Shining Light Circle on Saturday morning, definitely recharged my mental and physical battery.

I used to think sending reiki to myself was selfish or I'd put off therapies because I couldn't find the time, but now I realise if I'm running on empty I can't fully show up or give my clients the treatments they deserve!

I hope everyone can take a page out of my book and do something relaxing and nurturing for themselves this bank holiday Monday - be it a walk in nature, a bubble bath or just taking a few minutes to put your feet up! They work so hard for us! 👣✨

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of working with my tarot reader friends Two for Joy Tarot and Health and Healing Reiki & Readings Sheffield, S17 3LW on a hen do at Riverside Kelham!

Abbie and her guests were all so lovely and told us how much they enjoyed our readings! It's inspired us to do more parties of this scale - we did 24 readings between us. Team work really makes the dream work! 😄

Have you got a wedding reception, hen do or any other kind of party planned in the near future? I can do up to 10 readings on my own or team up with my soul sisters for bigger events! 🎉

2024 was a busy year, working 4 days a week and studying a Level 5 in Reflexology - not to mention running a 10-week psychic development class and Reiki Shining Light Circles with Health and Healing Reiki & Readings Sheffield, S17 3LW 🌙🌟

But now 2025 is in full swing, I'm back to taking reiki and tarot, plus reflexology bookings on Fridays and Saturdays! Here's a peek of my home office in both reiki bed and reflexology reclining chair mode!

Excited to announce a new psychic development group and I will be hosting weekly on Monday evenings from September 2024! 🌙✨

We will draw upon the skills and knowledge we have developed over many years hosting our Reiki Shining Light Circle plus individual tarot and reiki businesses to help others tap into their own intuition and psychic abilities.

We will be hosting this class at the Sharrow Community Forum on Mondays, 7:30 - 9:30pm. We hope to start on 16th September, but stay tuned for more updates!
