Indian Head Massage
6 Great Reasons To Give It A Try!

1) Popular Treatment - as stress is om the increase for all ages and walks of life, this treatment can be used for a variety of people and has been used effectively for generations based on the ancient healing system Ayurveda. Its has once again become popular for its effective ability to ease a variety of stress related conditions.

2) Remain clothed - this treatment can be received if you do not wish t use oils, nice to know you are the reserved type.

3) Healthy hair - massaging the scalp helps to stimulate hair follicles and increase the blood circulation which allows the nutrients needed to encourage healthy hair growth and to promote shiny/strong hair.

4) Great with oils - using oils leaves the skin feeling soft and deeply conditioned.

5) Headaches - helps reduce tension building up, using different movements and techniques to sooth and relive tension in the neck and scalp. very effective for headache suffers, for frequent suffers, this treatment can significantly reduce symptoms and aid relaxation.

NOT JUST A FOOT FETTLE !!!

Benefits of Reflexology
(Old remedies are the best!)

Despite common reactions to Reflexology “that it is impossible to treat the whole body by working just the feet” it has become increasingly popular.

Here’s a little history. Reflexology can be dated right back to ancient times.

In the early century an American Dr William Fitzgerald developed the therapy further by calling (Zone Therapy) based on dividing the body into ten zones then applying pressure to the specific part/zone on either the hands or feet to help reduce pain in the same zone that corresponds to that of the body.

It was later that a physiotherapist called Eunice Ingham saw this therapies potential and with her knowledge of the body mapped out the charts of the hands and feet reflex points/zones that it became known as reflexology as we know it today.

Reflexology is an amazing non-invasive complementary treatment that can help to restore the body’s natural balance and start the healing process to a happy healthy sense of wellbeing, including the physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual aspects not to mention the overall feel good factor.

Reflexology is not a cure to any ailment but is designed to assist/compliment any existing treatments to aid in health and wellbeing. The benefits of receiving this wonderful treatment will not disappoint you!!

The feet are probably the hardest working part of the body yet the most neglected.
The body has thousands of nerve endings (7000 approx) in just one session each nerve is stimulated through the feet providing pressure to certain points that are relayed to the central nervous system which in turn helps your organs and other parts of the body to function to its optimum. Amazing!!!!!

Here’s just a few of the benefits – when received regularly.

- Increased energy levels
- Joint mobility
- Improved circulation
- Hypertension – Heart disease
- Depression, anxiety, stress
- Multiple Sclerosis- decreases fatigue

Why not give it a try - It may surprise you !!!

This diagram is one that is used by a rheumatologist consultant that i have previously worked with and found that this analysis to be beneficial to everyone regardless of health conditions or aliment.

The idea behind this is to help control and adapt the way a person thinks, this is called mindfulness and is linked to many alternative methods of treatments.

Sleep is the bodies natural way of repair, if sleep is lacking it can have a knock on effect to every other aspect to our lives. If one of the links is broken the body can then start to repair.

Hello! I'm Katherine. I am a fully insured accredited therapist that can provide an holistic treatment tailored to your needs.

I work from my own home where everything is to hand and designed to enhance a truly relaxing experience.

I have worked in various care roles for about 18 years and over the past 8 yrs worked for the NHS. Both in a hospital setting and in the community. In June 2017, I injured my hips which had a major impact on my health and well-being. i wanted a more natural way of dealing with my problem, i looked into reflexology as a complimentary treatment, as I wanted to avoid medication as much as possible, I found that over time, this really helped with deep relaxation and improving my general well-being and more besides. From this experience, I was really inspired and intrigued to learn more, which is why I took a full-time course in reflexology and i am now a qualified therapist in both reflexology and Indian head massage. I am really passionate about helping others to feel the benefits of these holistic treatments and the positive impact it can have on daily life.
