Look who popped in for a blood pressure check — MP John Healey!
It was fantastic to welcome him and see his support for community pharmacy and heart health.

We were proud to showcase the vital services we provide to our patients, from medication support to Pharmacy First.

Increased funding for pharmacy services was a key topic of discussion, especially for our Director of Pharmacy Services Richard Hackett, who shared insights into how greater investment could expand access and improve outcomes in the community.

Look who popped into our Catcliffe branch yesterday Sarah Champion. What a pleasure it was to take Sarah's blood pressure and support World Heart Day.

Today is World Heart Day – Heart disease remains a leading cause of mortality in the UK and having raised blood pressure is a significant risk factor. An estimated 80% of cardiovascular disease, including stroke and heart disease, is preventable.

Today, I popped into Weldricks Pharmacy in Catcliffe to meet one of the many fantastic pharmaceutical teams we have here in Rotherham, talk about the wide range of services they offer and get a free blood pressure check to ensure I am kept healthy and aware of the risks of raised blood pressure. I was blown away by their knowledge, kindness and patience, and Keeyan assured me my blood pressure was normal!

Weldricks offer a free service to identify patients with undiagnosed high blood pressure and direct them to a source of help. It is offered to those over 40 and it can help to save lives.
