Today filled my heart in ways I didn’t expect 🤍

I spent the day volunteering at Talbot Specialist School for Futures Week, running two colourful pasta-making classes, and what a joy it was. Every single student got involved, followed each step, and created their own pasta from scratch to take home. So much focus, creativity, and quiet determination in the room.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. Food has this beautiful way of bringing people together, building confidence, and creating little sparks of pride.

I was also so moved by the care and dedication from the teachers and teaching assistants. The support they give every day is something really special.

I’m leaving today feeling grateful, inspired, and full of respect. One of those days that stays with you ✨

Reflecting on last night’s and this morning’s Women Wellness Circle that Nadege and I started with our Nourishing Space CIC, I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I feel.

I know that a women’s circle is not everyone’s cup of tea and also it may not be something that is available where you are based.
*** Sorry guys, I am talking to the ladies here but saying that, maybe this is something would like to pass on to the women in your life.

The more work I do in the community, the more I realise the importance and impact circles, groups, gatherings… can have on people’s mental health, physical health, and generally speaking their wellbeing.

I see magic/breakthrough/aha moments (whatever you want to call it) happening when people feel safe, seen and acknowledged - it allows them to create a much needed space to access their own wisdom and find solutions they haven’t thought of before or kept themselves too busy to be able to hear them.

I would love to hear about your experiences and thoughts around this.

Are there any groups that are happening nearby you would like to try?

Ps, if you are in Sheffield and interested in attending one of these sessions or know someone who might, pls let me know!

Did you manage to do a kitchen clear out yesterday? If not, there is still time this weekend before school is back on and the busyness starts again. In fact, you can do this any time you like! 😊

Once your kitchen is clean and tidy and you have a list of foods that you need / want to use up, planning becomes much easier.

A simple plan helps you feel more in control of your week, supports better food choices and saves time during busy days. It also reduces food waste and will save you money too! Win-win, all around!

You don’t need anything complicated to do it.

Put your favourite music on and make your favourite brew and let’s get started!

• Write down 3 to 4 meals you know you and your family will enjoy!
• What can you make with the ingredients you already have at home?
• Write a shopping list so that you can cook those meals.

and if any of these meals are freezer friendly, double up!

Building this into a weekly habit is a great first step for becoming healthier and calmer around meal times. I could talk to you about this for hours as I see so many people improving their health just by following these simple steps! 😊

Any questions, as always, let me know!

Started the day with protein, fats + fibre and suddenly life feels a bit less chaotic ✨

Savoury breakfasts can help keep blood sugar steady which means:
✔ more consistent energy
✔ fewer cravings
✔ a calmer mood

It doesn’t have to be fancy!
Eggs, avo, leftovers, even a quick veggie plate all count!!

Your future 11am self will thank you! 💛

Happy Easter to all who celebrate it!🐣🐰

Easter was always my favourite as a child, as my mum prepared the nicest breakfasts with sweet bread, ham, hot chocolate and lots of other gorgeous food. Later, when my girls were little we decorated the trees in the garden with colourful wooden and plastic eggs where we would do the egg hunt.

But the funniest tradition has to be the “locsolás” - when the boys “sprinkle” the girls’ head with perfume (if lucky) or water (like in the olden days). In return the girls would offer a painted egg and lots of nice homemade food.

Anyone has a funky tradition that they remember from their childhood?

Today we are literally mixing things up at Beechy Knoll Care Home! 🍓🫐🥭🍑

Instead of just running my usual nutrition and wellbeing clinic for the employees, I started the day with a smoothie session. The staff asked and we listened!

Wellbeing initiatives are only long lasting and meaningful when you ask your staff what they need - and you actually listen and make it happen!
Today is a great example of that.
The happy faces in the room speak for themselves.

We are currently planning and co-creating future sessions!

What does your employer do as part of their wellbeing that you love taking part in? What does you not rate at all? We would love to hear from you!

Wow! What a week at the Twiddle HQ ✨🎉

One of my busiest weeks in a very long time, doing work that - while I absolutely love - challenges me and helps me grow.
I absolutely loved working with one of my favourite and biggest clients and delivering them multiple presentations around all things of nutrition, health and habit building.

I have also been busy working with my wonderful CIC partner and another favourite client who I do regular work for - while solo parenting all week.

Feeling super proud and grateful today! ✨

Hope you all had a great week too!

Today I’m celebrating the women who quietly and powerfully lift others up. ✨

The women in my family.
The women in my friendships.
The women in my business community.
The women who show up, cheer loudly for others, and hold space when someone needs it.

I’m especially grateful for the women who notice when something isn’t said out loud and reach out anyway. That kind of care is a special kind of strength.

International Women’s Day always reminds me of a childhood tradition at school. The boys would place a small tulip or a little bucket of hyacinths on our desks. Such a simple gesture, but it made us feel seen and celebrated even at that young age.

Today I’m thinking of all the women who offer that same feeling to others. The ones who notice, encourage, support, and celebrate.

Here’s to the women who lift each other higher.
Happy International Women’s Day 🌷

Tag a woman who has lifted you up when you needed this most!
