Nadine's faith filled, redemptive birth story ✨
(First person)

This is Nadine's story about her fourth birth - an unattended HVBAC following a T cut incision casearean birth.

Nadine is a remote birth client of mine, turned friend.
It has been an honour and a privilege to support her and her family, on her journey throughout this pregnancy... Seeing someone transform from scared and shaken by the system, to confident and empowered in their body and choices is such an incredible thing to wittness, especially when all unfolds flawlessly ✨

Nadine had three very different births stories prior to her most recent - each contributing reason to reclaim this birth as she wanted and knew she could.

It takes so much strength to go against the grain, especially when already pregnant and suffering birth trauma, and now coercion.

Toilet training tips!

When you live something (e.g. EC) you often forget the knowledge you have - until an opportunity presents itself.

I was recently blessed enough to be in a situation where I was able to share some potty/toilet training tips with a friend and her family, and what ensued...?

Their first hits, that's right! HitS!!!! On the potty! 🥳

This left me feeling that I should put together some prompts for others who are currently in the transition from nappies.

📆 When?

12:30-14:30 first Saturday of every month - except January when it will take place on the 10th.

📍Where?

Woodhouse Library, 524 Stradbroke Rd, Woodhouse, Sheffield S13 7GD.

🧸 What?

A welcoming space for the whole family, to connect with like-minded families over holistic & alternative pregnancy, birth & parenting choices.

☕ Hot drinks & toys/activities provided. 

👛 Cost?

£2 per first child, 50p for each child after. 

First visit completely free and babies under 6 months are also free.

🚐 Travel:

• 16 minute drive from Sheffield city center. 

• 35 minutes via public transport from the city centre, bus numbers: 7, 24, 25, 30, 52.

• From our previous location, mandala cafe, Meersbrook, it is a 4 minute walk then a 45 minute journey to straight outside the library on bus numbers: 24 or 25.
