8 years ago next week, I stepped foot in to for the first time as a qualified personal trainer

was my first ever client, she believed in me before I even qualified and signed up to train for her wedding, which was a huge success and helped me gain confidence in my abilities 🥹

Within 8 weeks I had over 40 clients, and have since worked with hundreds upon hundreds of you both on and off the gym floor…I’m grateful to every single one of you for putting your trust in me and helping me nurture my little business 🖤

So now, my clients are trusting me again as we step in to the next phase of Nico Fit Personal Training and Online Coaching 🤩

From next week, I’m proud to say I’ll be joining the team 😃 and basing all my services there going forward

I’ve trained at Warehouse for many years and know just how much of a quality gym it is…I’m very excited to introduce my clients to the amazing equipment and facilities there and look forward to seeing where this next chapter takes us 😊

So it’s a fond farewell to the Leisure Centre 👋🏼 Nico Fit became what it was whilst I was working there. It gave me the environment I needed to establish myself and what my business stood for and I can confidently move in to this next phase knowing exactly who I am and what I’m about 🖤 it’s been fun

My “tone up” client gained weight and lost inches! ⚖️

This was genuinely a “trust the process” run for her 🫶🏼

The scale barely moved, in fact it went up, which can be scary if you’re wanting to tone up…

But luckily, she’d done measurements and photos which showed a different picture entirely 🙌🏻

She trusted my guidance, I told her to focus on the job at hand, not the numbers on a scale

Train hard 🏋🏼‍♀️
Eat well 🥘
Show up ✅

She did just that and these were the results! 👏🏼

This would indicate a solid body recomposition…body fat down 📉 muscle up 📈

Skin is supple, get over it 💁🏼‍♀️

I’m 36, no kids, never been overweight, eat well, train 4 times a week, have visible abs when I stand up and I STILL get tummy rolls when I sit down

You have to learn to accept your body in order to focus on the important stuff…health, strength, movement, fuel…Don’t get distracted from the whole point

A PERFECT recomp for my client 👌🏼

This client is currently training for an iron man and so to achieve these results without losing muscle or feeling fatigued, we kept protein and calories high and made sure her workouts outside of her training were short and effective, 30 minutes, 3 times a week only

Yes you can SEE her results, but most importantly for me, is that she FELT better!

Better sleep, more energy and now better educated on fuelling for performance and no fear of dieting on high calories 👌🏼

With Val/Galentines coming up, I felt it important to remind you that 1 bit of indulgence won’t hinder your progress, just like 1 “healthy” action won’t accelerate your progress

So if your girls want to go out for a meal, or your partner spoils you with a box of choccys, be grateful and simply enjoy yourself ❤️

Fat gain comes from consistently eating over your maintenance calories

Equally fat loss comes from consistently eating under your maintenance calories…the emphasis being on “consistently”

Neither happens after 1 meal, hell even after 1 day…sometimes even a week (those in stubborn fat loss phases can concur 😅)

Maintenance is my favourite place to be…

But this time around the stakes feel higher

because I’m going on the most incredible holiday where I want to look and feel my absolute best

I’m feeling a pressure to start cutting already, even though I don’t really need to start yet

I’ve got 13 weeks 😄 it’s ages!

But maintenance is starting to make me feel fluffy…

These videos prove otherwise 😅 (on another note, this is why it’s a good idea to do video check ins)

Dieting is a funny old game with something new to learn in every phase…always remain open minded without judgement

I’m meant to be hitting my deficit from next week but I might be brave and play around a little longer

Training is back in a good place now following be new year fall off 😄 so might as well make it count
