Thank you to everyone for your support. Unfortunately the Grange has been confirmed to be closed. Letters have been sent this morning.....
Strange how the decision was only made yesterday apparently very speedy work!...although we've known differently for a long time.
We were informed yesterday that The Grange may have interest for private buyers...funny again yet no decisions were supposed to have been made, so how would they have known this previously if it hadn't already been discussed as an opportunity!
We fought so hard with campagins, contacting counsellors, MPs, Age UK, Unison, BBC radio, ITV and more..
Despite all the press DCC ignored to accept the full amount of signatures by reporting incorrectly the amount of signatures gathered, Emails with no or vague responses, some MPs who wanted to support us haven't even responded since. ( Guess their votes counted then )
Staff were kept in the dark and allowed, residents and families voices or opportunities to discuss concerns were blocked or ignored " not our department etc. It's absolutely been a horrible time for everyone involved with no support, answers or empathy shown.
Derbyshire County Council should be ashamed of themselves for making such serious cut backs bunch of cowards covering up their mistakes. Which now is upsetting so many people's lives
