Are you a cold water person? ❄️

It’s my new hobby — which is pretty bizarre for someone who doesn’t like the cold! But I’ve fallen in love with how it makes me feel. I love it so much I’ve even set up my own plunge pool outside.

Here’s my personal cold plunge protocol:
1️⃣ A short breathwork practice before getting in + set an intention (mine is discipline — it really helps). Treat it as nervous system regulation, not punishment or an endurance test.
2️⃣ Morning or midday is best — it’s very awakening and can interfere with sleep if done late. Though I happily stayed up till 3.am doing admin after an evening one, so it has it's place.
3️⃣ Regularity over extremes — consistency helps the nervous system to relax.
4️⃣ See it as part of a bigger wellness toolkit: movement, nutrition, connection, and self-care.
5️⃣ Finish with a warm-up movement practice — no towel, just let your body generate the heat naturally.

A beautiful mini ceremony at .fire.studios’ opening day, it was such an honour and a blessing to facilitate.

It never ceases to amaze me how the sacred Cacaoit helps us connect so openly and authentically. When we meet each other from the heart, without the masks or the conditioning, something beautiful happens. We see that we’re not separate at all — we’re one.
Yet again I hear real life experiences from people I have never met before, that reminded me how magnificent human beings truly are, and how profound our capacity for resilience can be.
The next ceremony coming is one I AM truly excited for - The Dance of the Jaguar - coming soon on 23rd November.

I'm so looking forward to facilitating a mini Cacao Ceremony for the opening day .fire.studios tomorrow.
My challenge: how to condense a 3 hour ceremony into just 45 minutes.

The real question isn't 'what can I do in 45 minutes?"
It's "what can they truly receive on 45 minutes?"
It's always about them 🤎
This reminds me - sometimes when we feel lost or unsure, we just need to shift the question.
Change the question, and the clarity comes 🤎

It was so refreshing yesterday to take our Pilates off the mat and into nature using the Pilates Walk system.
Here are some simple Pilates Walk tips you can try next time you head out:
💨 Breathe up and out of your thoracic spine – for posture and feel-good energy.
😊 Make your lower abs smile – a gentle side-to-side lift that supports the hips + lower back.
💃 Keep your arm swing even – front and back, for balance and flow.
🚶 Take a long enough stride – to wake up the back of your body.

Big thanks to those who joined the Pilates half-day retreat today. I'm thrilled with how well it was received and the enjoyment of it.
It was great to be able to use the Pilates walk system together outdoors in beautiful nature and to do things very differently to an ordinary class.

It's definitely time to shake things up, make changes, and take action so that we can finish the year functioning and feeling our best.
⏬️ Seasonal self-care check⬇️
Physical: Slowing down. More Pilates, gentle yoga, stretching, restful sleep, and nourishing autumn foods like soups, roasted root vegetables, and warm teas.

Spiritual: Spending time in inner reflection. Journaling, meditation, quiet nature walks, and setting intentions for the months ahead.

Home: Creating a cosy, grounding environment with soft blankets, warm lighting, candles, and autumn scents like cinnamon or woodsmoke.

Gratitude: Acknowledging the beauty of the season and being aware of daily blessings.

Mindfulness: slowing down daily tasks, and soaking in the sights, smells, and textures of autumn.

What feels heavy today may become your source of strength tomorrow 🌗
Eclipses can be challenging times when shadows come to the surface. - emotions we've stuffed away, old fears, unhealed wounds, or suppressed parts of ourselves we'd rather not look at.
We can notice sudden fatigue, something we thought we'd dealt with come up again (this one's s*it), unexpected emotions, or even old patterns resurfacing.
Here's the hidden gem though - while this is uncomfortable, it's an Eclipsey invitation that offers an opportunity to acknowledge what's been hidden and bring it into the light of your awareness.
Noticing *without judgement * . Giving it space to be seen and acknowledged turns heaviness into new strength and allows us to access a deeper light within . 💛
