🖐️ Finger stiffness, clicking or locking when you try to bend it? It could be trigger finger.
Trigger finger develops when a tendon in the finger becomes irritated or thickened, meaning it can’t glide smoothly. This can cause pain, stiffness and a catching or locking sensation, often worse first thing in the morning.
The condition is often linked to repetitive gripping or hand use, and can start gradually before interfering with everyday tasks.
The good news is that most people improve with physiotherapy, hand therapy and simple activity changes. Treatment focuses on reducing tendon irritation and restoring smooth finger movement.
