Twelve Trees Care

Established in 1994 Twelve Trees is familiar face within the local community.

Making the decision to move in to a residential home can be difficult, whether it be for yourself or for a loved one. Here at Twelve Trees we understand and appreciate the importance of making sure that any move to a new home is the right one for the individual. That is why we invite any potential new residents to come and meet us, whether that be for an informal chat and a look around our home, or to take part in one of our many activities and meet the other residents who live here at Twelve Trees. Our dedicated care team provides 24 hour care for all our residents; each and every resident has a detailed care plan, tailored towards their individual needs, preferences and choice about the care they receive is a priority here at Twelve Trees. Helping our residents live fulfilling lives in a comfortable safe environment is at the centre of everything we strive to achieve. Promoting dignity, respect and choice are key aspects in the care provided by our staff.

What a great week we had last week! ☘️

We started off celebrating St Patrick’s Day with a delicious homemade Irish stew, followed by some beautiful cup cakes made by our wonderful cook Helen. A big thank you to Mandy and Sean who entertained us with some fantastic Irish songs~it really hit everyone in the spirit🎶

Later in the week,we were delighted to welcome Andy Greaves who kept us all smiling with his brilliant entertainment.

We also enjoyed a trip out to Costa Coffee and Marks & Spencer’s which everyone thoroughly loved ☕️🛍️

Back at home, we made the most of the gorgeous sunshine 🌞 with chair exercises in our beautiful garden. It was so nice to relax outdoors, soaking up the first sunny day of the year while admiring our blooming flowers 🌸🌷🌺🌼🌻

To top it all off, we spent time listening to some favourite tunes on the record player,enjoying refreshments together in the garden ~a perfect way to welcome the brighter days ahead ☀️

Hi everyone 😊
We know it’s been a little while since our last post… have you missed us ? 😊We’ve been very busy here at Twelve Trees care home!

Our residents have been enjoying lots of lovely activities and outings recently.We’ve been out for fish & chips,taken trips to the pub for lunch,and even had a little shopping trip to pick up some Easter goodies 🐣🛍️.

We enjoyed hydration week with lots of fresh fruit 🍋‍🟩 🍑🍌🍊🍎🍓🍍🍒🍋🍉🍏🥝

We celebrated world book day 📖
We had a lovely scenic drive to Hope Valley 🚘☀️☀️😎

Back at the home We’ve been keeping active with chair exercises,and one of our residents enjoyed a special visit to another care home to see a dear friend.We also had a wonderful trip to see a beautiful baby pony who was just 5 days old~such a lovely experience for everyone 🐴

A very special celebration took place for Sylvia’s 90th birthday 🎉🎂where we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea together to mark the occasion.

And to top it all off, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a delicious cream tea made by our amazing cook Helen~ it looked beautiful and tasted just as good 💐🍰

It’s been a busy and happy time at Twelve Trees,and we look forward to sharing more of our moments with you all soon.

What a fantastic week we have had!🎉

🎤Martin came to sing for us,and the lovely Andy Greaves kept us entertained!

We enjoyed a visit to kelham Island,a shopping trip to crystal peaks,and a lovely lunch with the ladies.

We also took in the beautiful views at Ladybower reservoir,celebrated 5 birthdays🎂and finished it all off with a delicious carvery at Crosspool Tavern.

🎉🥂30 Years of Twelve Trees
Care home! 🥂🎉

Yesterday we celebrated a truly special milestone~30 wonderful years of Twelve Trees care home!

It was a heartwarming day filled with laughter,
Memories, and celebration as residents past and present, families, friends and staff all came together to mark this incredible occasion. Seeing familiar faces return to celebrate alongside our current residents made the day even more meaningful.

We enjoyed beautiful food, plenty of champagne,and of course lots of smiles as we reflected on three decades of care, compassion,and community 💛

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the years. Twelve Trees has always been more than just a care home~it’s a family. Here’s to the next chapter! 🥂✨

✨What a week it’s been here at Twelve Trees !✨
We’ve had such a lovely,busy week here at Twelve Trees and wanted to share with you 😊

Our residents enjoyed some wonderful meals out,including a delicious carvery at the crosspool tavern.we took a scenic trip to ladybower for he gentleman,while the ladies enjoyed a shopping trip followed by a cheeky larger and lunch 🍻🛍️

Back at the home,we were treated to fantastic entertainment from the lovely Andy greaves,who had everyone smiling,singing, and tapping along 🎶
We celebrated marinas 60 th birthday 🎂 🎉🥳🎁

To finish of the week we tucked into a classic fish and chips lunch,followed by a very special little visit…one of our residents family brought in their 9 week~old puppy,Milo 🐶💙
Safe to say,we are soooo in love already and can’t wait to watch little Milo grow!

As its near to the end of the week we thought we would start our count of our 30 new wonderful things we will be doing this year-so our number one -was turning 30 and our number 2 on our never done before list was feeding the lambs !!!!

🎉🎂WE’RE TURNING 30🎂🎉

In 2026 our care home celebrates a very special milestone, 30 wonderful years of care community, laughter, and memories ❤️

To mark the occasion we’re inviting families and friends to join us for a 30th birthday party on the 18th February 2026🥳

More details will be shared soon, but please save the date!! We’d love to celebrate together!

And that’s not all…👀✨

Throughout our 30th year, we’re taking on an exciting challenge: 30 activities and trips across the year, doing things and visiting places we’ve never been before!

From big adventures to little surprises, it’s all about creating new memories together; though we’re keeping the destinations top secret for now🤔🚙

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the past 30 years. We can’t wait to celebrate, explore and make 2026 a year to remember!

What a wonderful day our residents have had today!

This morning we enjoyed Martin singing 🎤🕺for us -there was dancing everywhere and lots of smiles all round.🎶💃

We then headed to the farm where everyone loved bottle-feeding the adorable 2-week-old lamb.🐑🍼

To finish of the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome the lovely Mandy and Sean, who treated us to some fantastic singing 🎤

A day full of music,laughter and special moments!💛

✨🎄Christmas at our care home 🎄✨

What a truly magical Christmas season we’ve shared! Our home has been filled with so much fun, laughter and love, creating beautiful memories together. From festival trips out to enjoy lovely Christmas lunches.to spending quality time with one another,every moment reminded us how special our residents are 💛

We would like to say a huge thank you to Dunelm mills wood seats and there customers for their incredible kindness and generosity,thanks for their thoughtful gifts, each and everyone of our residents and home care clients felt xtra special this Christmas 🎁

We are so grateful to everyone involved-our amazing team, families, supporters and friends who helped make this festive season one to remember, we truly couldn’t be more thankful 💫

Here’s to carrying that joy and togetherness into the new year ✨
