✨ Behind every incredible stage performance is a huge amount of physical effort and dedication. At our clinic, we’ve had the privilege of supporting a few performers from The Tina Turner Musical during their time at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre, but also some of the Lyceum main staff too. 💃🎭

Dancers, actors and performers put their bodies under enormous strain, and some of the most common injuries we see include:

🔹 Ankle sprains & strains – from quick turns and jumps.
🔹 Knee pain (patellofemoral or ligament issues) – often from repetitive landings and choreography.
🔹 Lower back tension – due to lifts, bends, and long rehearsals.
🔹 Hamstring or calf strains – from explosive movements.
🔹 Shoulder/neck tightness – from lifts, posture, or costume demands.

Physiotherapy can play a vital role in keeping performers strong, mobile, and injury-free – helping them return to the stage with confidence. 🌟

To all performers out there: remember, your body is your instrument. Look after it with rest, mobility work, and professional support when needed. 🙌
