There’s a certain kind of woman I tend to work with-
She’s smart. Capable. Always thinking ahead.
She’s got lists for her lists,
and an inner voice that sounds suspiciously like a nagging headteacher.

She feels best when she’s achieving things.
When the dishwasher is unloaded, inbox cleared, shopping done.
When she’s doing what she “should” be doing.

But the moment she slows down, that voice kicks in.
“You should be doing more.”
“What have you even done today?”
“No wonder you feel behind.”

So she pushes through.
Even when her chest is tight.
Even when she can’t think straight.
Even when she’s not slept properly in days.

But here’s the thing:

Your productivity has nothing to do with your worth.

You are allowed to rest.
To move slow.
To stop altogether - and still be valuable.

Your body is not a machine.
It doesn’t need another to-do list.
It needs permission to feel safe enough to pause.

That’s what we do in my sessions.

Whether it’s through coaching, Reiki, or a blend of the two - we create space for your system to finally let go.
So you can remember how to feel calm, present, and worthy again…

Even if the laundry’s not folded.

We’ve all had someone try and give us advice that felt… off.

Like it wasn’t really about us.
More about what they wish they’d done differently. Or what they were scared of.

Your mum telling you to “play it safe” - because she never got to take risks.
Your dad pushing you to “stick it out” - because he stayed stuck.
That friend who means well but always seems to dim your shine a little.

And before you know it, you’re living by rules you didn’t choose.
Quiet ones.
Passed down without anyone meaning harm.

Be a good girl.
Don’t cause a fuss.
Keep everyone happy.
Don’t take up too much space.

Thing is, your nervous system remembers all that.
Even if your head says, “I had a good childhood,”
Your body might still be carrying the weight of someone else’s fears.

That’s why healing isn’t always about big trauma.
Sometimes, it’s about untangling the quiet stuff.
The invisible patterns that shape how you show up in the world.

That’s the work I do.
It’s gentle. It’s grounded.
And it helps you come back to you.

If this lands, I’d love to hold space for you.

I hear this a lot.

It usually comes after a few minutes of someone explaining how anxious they feel, how disconnected they’ve become, how they don’t feel present in their own life.

And then - “But I had a good childhood…”
Almost as if that disqualifies them from support. Or from feeling this way at all.

Here’s the thing:
You don’t need trauma to feel dysregulated.
You don’t need a dramatic backstory to feel burnt out.
You don’t need a clinical diagnosis to be deserving of space.

Sometimes your nervous system is just overstretched.
Sometimes you’ve spent years prioritising everyone else.
Sometimes the habits you picked up to cope with stress (people-pleasing, overthinking, perfectionism) became so automatic, you forgot they were coping at all.

Counselling often looks to the past - exploring memory, meaning, and childhood roots.

Coaching in the work that I do is more forward-focused - looking at your habits, your nervous system patterns, and how to shift into a more easeful, resourced way of living now.

Both are powerful. But they’re different tools for different times.

And if you’re feeling like you’re stuck in survival mode, or longing for space to reconnect with yourself again my work might be the gentle landing you’re craving.

You’re allowed to feel what you feel.
You’re allowed to want more ease, even if things “look fine.”

You’re allowed to get support before you hit crisis point.

And no - you don’t need a dramatic reason.

Just a desire to feel like you again.

I’ve always loved the autumn equinox 🍂
That moment where day and night meet in the middle.
Where the light starts to tilt, and everything softens toward stillness.

But for a lot of women I work with - that shift into autumn can be hard.
Especially if you live with anxiety.

Because anxiety doesn’t like slowing down.
It likes to keep moving, keep scanning, keep preparing for things that might never happen.

You tell yourself you’ll rest once you feel calmer.
But the calm never comes - because your system doesn’t know how to stop.
It’s always looking for the next fire to put out.

And I get it. Truly.

There’s a comfort in control.
In staying busy.
In overthinking everything because it feels safer than missing something.

But over time… it drains you.
You start to lose touch with what you actually need.
You forget how to listen to your body.
You stop trusting your own rhythm - because the overthinking is louder than your intuition.

And the more you push through, the more burnt out and disconnected you feel.
Which then feeds the anxiety… and around it goes.

What I’ve learnt - in my own life and in my work - is that healing doesn’t happen by trying harder.
It happens when your system starts to feel safe.

Safe enough to slow down.
Safe enough to let go of the mental to-do list.
Safe enough to rest, without guilt or bracing for the next thing.

That’s why I love Reiki and my coaching work.
It’s not a magic fix. But it’s a reset.
It’s a chance to feel what your body’s been trying to tell you underneath all the noise.

And on days like this - when the seasons shift and everything in nature is finding balance again - your body wants that too.

✨ I’ve got limited sessions available this week at Butterthwaite House, just outside Rotherham

What podcasts are actually holding your attention right now? 🎙️🎧

I’m tracking the ones that go there.
Where shadow, sensuality, polarity, grief, power and pleasure aren’t taboo - they’re the whole point. The ones having bold and powerful conversations.

I’m looking for shows to bring my voice to - to speak about Erotic Shadow Alchemy and the deeper layers of healing we need to be talking anout.

Drop your favourites ⬇️ Tag the hosts. I want to listen. And maybe… show up inside them 😀

I got my first tattoo this summer 🔥

It marked the end of something big - a personal initiation, a chapter closing, a becoming.
It felt important.
Sacred.
Mine.

And what’s funny is… I’d never even considered getting one before.

Tattoos were sort of off limits in my world growing up.
No one ever said it outright, but I’d picked up on it - the subtle disapproval, the “not for people like us” energy.
So I filed it away in that part of my brain marked “don’t go there.”

Not because I didn’t want one.
But because I didn’t want to upset anyone.
I didn’t want to be that girl who made people uncomfortable.
Even now - grown woman, mother - there’s still a part of me that doesn’t want to get told off.

(Is it just me, or is that a full-on millennial thing?!)

But this summer… the opportunity came.
And something in me said, “You’re allowed now.”

So I got it. And I love it.

Not just the tattoo - the choice.
The reminder that I don’t need to keep performing “good” just because someone else might prefer it.

There’s a part in many of us that still wants to be approved of.
Still wants to play by the rules - even when no one’s enforcing them anymore.

But you’re allowed to live outside the lines you inherited.
You’re allowed to do what feels true, even if others don’t get it.

You don’t need permission.
Especially not from the ghost of someone else’s opinion.

When was the last time you gave yourself your full attention?

Not five minutes with a cup of tea before the chaos started again.
Not the scroll-break between work and washing up.

I mean… full attention.
Mind and body in the same room.
Nothing to fix. Nothing to plan. Just you, with you.

Most of us don’t get that very often.
Our heads are busy - replaying, overthinking, running through lists.
Our bodies are trying to keep up - rushing around, tight-chested, slightly behind the moment.

And we wonder why we feel exhausted.
Why we’re irritable or disconnected or just not quite right in our skin.

It’s like we’re out of sync with ourselves.
And no one taught us how to listen - not really.

But when you have space to slow down…
to notice what your body actually needs - a stretch, a cry, some stillness, a deep exhale-
That’s when things start to shift.

That’s what Reiki gives you.

A quiet hour.
A soft landing.
A moment where your body and mind are finally in the same place.
Where the tension starts to ease - without you needing to explain a single thing.

Sessions available over the next few weeks at Butterthwaite House, Ecclesfield

Message me if your body’s been asking for a pause - even if you’ve been too busy to notice ❤️

Most of my clients have never had Reiki before.

They’re not “woo woo.”
They don’t collect crystals or do full moon rituals.
A lot of them aren’t even sure how to explain what Reiki is.

But they come.
Because something feels off.
Because they’re overwhelmed, anxious, or just sick of holding it all together.

And after their first session?

Most of them come back.

Some make it part of their regular self-care, a space to pause, reset, and exhale.
Others want to go deeper - they know something’s underneath the anxiety, the overthinking, the people-pleasing… and they want to understand it and overcome it.

Reiki is for anyone.
It doesn’t matter what you believe.
There’s no right mindset you need to have.
There’s nothing you need to do to “make it work.”

Reiki is gentle.
It can’t do harm.
It simply meets you where you are - and helps your system remember how to come back to centre.

You don’t have to believe in energy.
You just have to want to feel more like yourself again.

There are usually two kinds of women who find their way to me.

Some want to talk.
To make sense of what’s been going on.
To name the patterns, understand the overthinking, and feel like they’re back in the driving seat again.

Others don’t want to talk at all.
They’re exhausted from trying to explain it.
They just want to lie down.
To feel their chest soften.
To finally stop holding it all together for everyone else.

And honestly?
Both ways are valid.

There’s no “right” door in. No perfect first step.
Just whatever your system is asking for right now.

But what I’ve seen again and again…
is that healing happens deeper when you have space for both.

When your body feels safe… your mind can finally stop spinning.
And when things make sense up top…
your body stops waiting for the next thing to go wrong.

That’s what my work offers - both spaces.
Soft talk when you need it.
Silent holding when you don’t.
No pressure. Just space to come back to yourself.

Only a few sessions available this week now at Butterthwaite House, just outside Rotherham.

Message me if you’re curious, unsure, or just know something needs to shift ❤️

🌀 When you’re stressed, anxious, or burnt out your body is in sympathetic activation.
That’s your “fight/flight” state. It’s necessary. It keeps you alert and alive.

But you’re not supposed to live there.

Reiki can help switch you back into parasympathetic mode. That’s the state where your body can:
• Digest food properly
• Sleep deeply
• Think clearly
• Heal physical and emotional wounds
• Access calm without forcing it

You don’t have to “believe in energy” for this to work.Your body already knows what to do with safe, non-invasive touch

That’s the magic ✨

📍I have space this week. Rotherham, just 5 mins from J35 of the M1.

She came in saying she was fine.
Just tired. Needed a bit of time out.
Said she’d had the weekend off but still felt like her body was in overdrive.

And you know what? That’s what I hear all the time.

You can cancel plans, nap, even take a whole day off - and still feel wired.
Still feel like your shoulders are up by your ears and your chest is holding something in.

Because real repair doesn’t come from time.
It comes from signal.

Signal to your nervous system that it’s safe. That you can let go. That you’re not about to be pulled in five directions the moment you sit down.

So many women are doing all the “right” things - but still waking up exhausted, overthinking everything, and wondering why they don’t feel better.

Here’s the truth:
You don’t need more self-care.
You need space where your whole body gets the message:
You’re safe now. You can stop holding it all.

That’s the work I do.
No pressure. Just time to gently lay it all down.

I’ve got space this week in my cosy treatment room at Butterthwaite House.

Message me if you fancy that kind of pause ❤️
