And just like that, the last of the decorations have been taken down at Old Shenfield Place Care Home.

As we close the door on another festive season, we invite you to look back on the moments that made it so special — Christmas dinner shared around the table, the giving of gifts, laughter, music, and heartfelt celebrations.

We’re filled with gratitude for our residents, families, staff, and everyone who helped make the season so meaningful. Thank you for the kindness, care, and togetherness that truly defined our Christmas.

Here’s to carrying that warmth and spirit with us into the year ahead ❤️🎄

The festive spirit continued at Shenfield Place as “Mrs Claus” visited to sing for our residents.

She performed a selection of well-known Christmas songs, which many residents enjoyed joining in with. The visit created a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere and gave everyone a chance to enjoy some familiar festive music together.

Thank you to Mrs Claus for coming along and helping us mark the season here at OSP.

🎄✨ Oh yes it was! ✨🎄
Jack, the beanstalk, and plenty of belly laughs popped up at OSP as our residents were treated to a Christmas pantomime to remember. From giggles to enthusiastic ‘he’s behind you!’ moments, it was truly giant fun. Proof that you’re never too grown up for a bit of panto magic!” 🌱😂

We were very happy to welcome the children from Shenfield High School to Old Shenfield Place to sing Christmas carols for our residents 🎄

Earlier this month, the pupils sent us beautiful handmade Christmas cards with thoughtful messages. Our residents had the tough task of choosing the winner, and after a very difficult decision, selected Laila, Leah and Scarlett as the winners.

Following the carols, the winners were presented with their prizes and read their messages aloud to the residents, which was a lovely moment for everyone.

A big thank you to Shenfield High, the staff and students for making this such a special occasion for our residents. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas ✨

A very special celebration Tuesday this week for our lovely resident, Stella, who turned 99! 🎉💐 Her family came in to celebrate with her — there was ice cream, lots of laughs, and plenty of smiles going round! Thank you to her wonderful family for making her day so special. Happy 99th Birthday, Stella! ❤️

This week we had lots of fun at our Music Matters session with plenty of Christmas songs! And a massive thank-you to the Long Ridings School Choir for coming along to sing carols for our residents — you were absolutely amazing! ❤️
