✨ Meet the Team Monday – Say hello to Sarah! ✨

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Sarah, our wonderful Head of Lifestyle and Wellbeing at The Burlington 🫶

Sarah has been part of the care sector for over four years, starting her journey as a Carer before discovering her true passion for activities and lifestyle support. She’s been with us at The Burlington for just over a year, and in that time has become such a bright and caring presence in our home 🌸

When asked what she loves most about her role, Sarah said it’s the small moments that mean the most — sharing a cup of tea and a chat, having a laugh with residents, or seeing a smile spread across someone’s face during an activity. 💬☕ “It might seem little, but to our residents, it can make their whole day,” she shared.

From lively performances and arts & crafts 🎨, to beautiful flower arranging 🌺 and visits from local schools 👩‍🏫👨‍🎓, Sarah makes sure every day at The Burlington is filled with joy, friendship, and meaningful moments.

For Sarah, working at The Burlington feels like being part of a family — and it’s clear to see she helps make our home such a warm and welcoming place 💛

🦅✨ A huge thank you to Birds of Prey for visiting our home and giving our residents the most fascinating show and talk about his incredible feathered friends.

From learning all about these magnificent birds to having the chance to hold them, it was an afternoon full of excitement, smiles, and a touch of awe! 🌟

🐾✨ Last week we celebrated National Dog Day with the cutest surprise for our residents... a special visit from Bonnie, one of our lovely team member’s beautiful dogs! 🐶💛

Bonnie lapped up all the attention (and a few sneaky cuddles!) while our residents couldn’t stop smiling. There’s something truly heartwarming about the joy a furry friend brings — and Bonnie certainly brightened everyone’s day. 🥰

🌟 Meet the Team Monday 🌟

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on the lovely Kirsty, our brilliant Deputy Manager 💐.

Kirsty has been working in care since she was just 19 – that’s an incredible 15 years of supporting, guiding, and making a real difference 💛. With a Higher Diploma in Management in Health and Social Care for both adults’ and children’s services, she’s a true jack of all trades who turns her hand to anything that needs doing (and always with a smile!). 😀

What truly makes Kirsty special is her kind and caring nature – she has that rare ability to make everyone feel valued, listened to, and supported. Whether it’s a resident needing a gentle chat, a colleague needing advice, or a last-minute task that needs sorting, Kirsty is always there 💕.

We’re all so thankful for everything Kirsty brings to our home – she’s a cornerstone of our team and a big part of what makes our community so special 🌼.

🍌🍫🍓 Banana splits all round! 🍨✨

Our lovely residents had the best time whipping up their very own banana splits – and of course, the best bit was tucking into the finished creations 😋🎉

There were plenty of smiles, sprinkles, and maybe even a little bit of cream on noses along the way! 🥄💛 These simple moments always bring so much joy and laughter to our home.

Our residents had the most wonderful outing this week to The Walled Garden in Sunbury 🌼✨.

We wandered through the beautiful gardens, taking in the colours, scents, and sunshine 🌷🌿 – and even took time to admire the wonderful pieces in the embroidery gallery 🧵🎨.

Spending time with friends, surrounded by such beauty, made for the perfect outing 💖. Moments like these remind us that joy is found in simple pleasures shared together.

🌧️✨ The rain won’t dampen our spirits! At The Burlington, our residents spent the afternoon creating the most beautiful flower arrangements 💐.

The colours, the scents, and the laughter that filled the room certainly brightened our day – and our home! 🌷🌼 There’s nothing like fresh blooms to lift the mood and bring a touch of sunshine indoors ☀️💖
