Unused prescription medicines cost the NHS in the UK an estimated £300 million every year!

Please remember to only order the medication you need for the month when ordering your prescription. Please don’t stockpile medication just because it is on your repeat slip. It looks to your GP that you are using it constantly.

If you have items on your repeat list that you no longer take or need for whatever reason, please book a medication review with one of our Clinical Pharmacists here at the surgery.

If you have the NHS App, you can check by going to Accounts & Settings - Manage NHS Account - Contact Details. If it is incorrect you can simply change your details in the App.

Having a mobile number and/or email address for you means we can send you appointment booking links, reminders and important information easily to you. This also frees up our phone lines and capacity to call patients who are unable to be contacted in this way.

It’s that time of year again where patients are calling in with cold & flu symptoms.

Most colds and coughs will clear up without treatment within 3-4 weeks with self-care.

Please do not be alarmed if this is suggested to you in the first instance if you call us regarding this, especially if you’ve only had symptoms for a couple of days and are usually fit and healthy. Your local Pharmacist is also a good 1st point of call.

The Access Wellbeing Community Drop-In at The Digby Hall is available to you each week. This is a provision from Dorset Healthcare in collaboration with Dorset MIND.

The Community Drop-In is open to anyone over 18 years, to speak to someone about their general wellbeing, so anything that could be affecting their mental health.

No appointments necessary. Patients will see a Wellbeing Coordinator from Dorset MIND who will offer them support and/or signpost them onto other relevant services.
