We’re really pleased to share that we’ve seen a big reduction in DNA (Did Not Attend) appointments, saving around 15 hours of appointment time.

This means more appointments available for patients who need them — thank you to everyone for cancelling in advance when you can’t attend. It really does make a difference.

📣 Trainee GP Update 📣

This week we said goodbye to Dr Chinaza Ezeadu, who has now finished her GP training with us. We’d like to thank her for all her hard work, dedication, and the care she has shown to our patients during her time at the surgery. We wish her every success in the next stage of her career — she will be greatly missed! 💙

At the same time, we’re pleased to welcome Dr Roger Ahiaku and Dr Lucy Higson, who have joined us as our new GP trainees. They’ll be working alongside our experienced team and we’re sure they’ll be a great addition to the practice.

Thank you, as always, for being so welcoming and supportive of our training doctors.

❤️ February is Heart Month ❤️

February is all about looking after your heart. Small changes can make a big difference to your heart health — especially when it comes to cholesterol and blood pressure.

Top tips for a healthier heart:

🥗 Choose a balanced diet with plenty of fruit, vegetables, wholegrains and oily fish

🧈 Cut down on saturated fats (found in butter, fatty meats, pastries)

🚶‍♂️ Aim for regular physical activity, even a daily walk helps

🚭 If you smoke, consider stopping — support is available

🍷 Keep alcohol within recommended limits

🩺 Attend regular health checks and take prescribed medication as advised

⏰ Arriving on time for your appointment

We’ve recently seen an increase in patients arriving late for appointments. To help us provide safe and timely care to everyone, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.

Arriving late can mean we may be unable to see you, as this impacts other patients and the clinical team’s schedule. If you think you may be late or can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so the appointment can be offered to someone else.
