It's dull and damp outside, so I'm surrounded by candles and fairy lights to help me channel love and light as I write ceremonies this afternoon.

People often ask me, how do you go on after losing someone you love so much that nothing feels like it will ever be okay again? This is what I tell them:

One. Tiny. Breath. At. A. Time.

Just keep breathing. Just breathe, my darling. One breath at a time. Don't try to think beyond. Just breathe. That's all. Focus on each breath until you can begin to do otherwise. But until then - one tiny breath at a time.

Messages like this mean the world to me 🧡 "We had many lovely comments about the funeral. Dad was very touched. We all wish to say a very big thank you for how you conducted the service. It helped us greatly. You were so loving and kind to us through the whole process which was very much appreciated. So we thank you once again. We very much cherish the time you spent with us. Sending hugs and love for the future."
