I took this while sitting in the sun-soaked car at the crematorium the other day. I remember that I just felt peaceful - and so I took a sunny selfie. I've received this amazing testimonial from that day: 🧡 "Dear Antonia, We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the wonderful service you gave for mum on Tuesday. It truly was a celebration of her life and we are so pleased you suggested including the poem, it meant so much to Dad. We thought you were superb from initial contact to meeting you and believe you have truly found your vocation. Thank you for making this difficult time so much easier for us."

Fish tanks and ponds are a common sight in many crematoria - a calming influence for those grieving. I've always found watching fish extremely relaxing. 💚🐠

Today marks a year since my lovely mother-in-law died. It's proving to be a difficult day, and so my husband and I have decided to throw in the towel and go out to lunch, and then scatter her ashes in one of her favourite places. Grief hits in unexpected ways and when it does, it's good to honour your feelings. 💙
