It's days like this when I always find a moment to look up in the crematorium grounds. Spring sunshine through the trees is a beautiful reset before and after a ceremony.

I loved this guitar floral tribute - and was blown away when I discovered it was made by the young son of the man we were there to mourn and celebrate. Amazing.

Another sister's birthday yesterday (the big one this time) and another 'sister selfie'. I started something by sharing last week's birthday girl, so had to share one in honour of my fabulous big sis this week. It's my birthday coming up at the beginning of May, then my mum's at the end of May - I'm going to be sick of these guys by then! 😂 Just kidding, of course. I know how lucky I am. 🥰

My awesome baby sister turned 50 at the weekend. She's the one in the crown, obvs! I'm fortunate to have a close family, and I know that not everyone can say that. Every time we're together these days I take a 'sister selfie' 🥰

I'm at the crematorium most of the day today, and so I thought I'd take the opportunity to capture some of the gorgeous flowers and blossoms in bloom in the grounds.

Your tributes and readings were lovely and I really felt you captured his humour and love of nature with great sensitivity. A few people I care deeply about are really going through the mill right now. As someone who makes it her mission to spread love and light, it's tough when there's nothing I can do to help. And so I wait for the moment they need me, rather than overwhelm them. Sometimes, that's all we can do.

🧡 "Dear Antonia, I would like to thank you for making a difficult time for us so much easier. We were impressed that when you came for the initial visit you seemed really interested in finding out what J was really like. We thought that you conveyed his character very well at the celebration of his life. A large number of the very old friends said that they learnt things about J that they were unaware of and that the service represented him very well. There were many compliments about you, the celebrant and the way you conducted the service. Thank you for getting us through this difficult day in a somewhat enjoyable way. Many friends said that J would have been proud of everything which was a compliment and what we set out to do, send him off in a memorable way. He was loved. Thank you."
