Wow wow wow!!!

Last week in Sherburn in elmet slimming world we lost a fantastic 7 and a half stone!!!

💥 Slimming World – where summer success starts!

As I heard this morning about weight loss injections being prescribed through the GP I thought important to get the message out that we can add an extra layer of support here at Slimming World.

You can be a part of our groups and use weight loss medication - in fact you need our help!

Olivier Picard, chairman of the National Pharmacy Association, said:

"The biggest concern we have is that prescribing these medications alone misses the point.

“They should be part of a comprehensive weight management strategy – combining lifestyle coaching, exercise, and nutritional guidance. In reality, many GPs lack the bandwidth to deliver the level of support needed to ensure proper understanding and follow-up.

“As a result, we could end up in a situation where patients are prescribed the medication, lose weight, and then experience rebound weight gain once the course ends – simply because the foundational lifestyle changes weren’t addressed.”

Having just celebrated out Diamond target members this week - members who have kept at their target weight for 1 year + , I know you will need to type of support we have got to keep that long term success. You might even decide you don't want the medication at all.
