St. David’s provides high quality residential nursing care as a short term bookable respite stay or long term care. We are an independent nursing home.

David’s core strength lies in the excellent nursing care that it delivers to its residents. Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day working with a team of friendly care assistants. Our home is visited on a weekly basis by the local GP. A hairdresser, chiropodist and optician also visit regularly. Whether you need a little respite care or have complex nursing requirements we are happy accommodate you and make sure your comfortable during your stay.

The fete fun continues this week 🥳

The focus on Tuesday is guessing the name of the elephant and the number of sweets in the jars 🍬

On Thursday, it's slightly more competitive with prizes for the winners of hook the duck and hoopla.

We look forward to seeing you at the monthly residents' coffee morning for relatives and friends. This will be on Friday, October 3rd at 10.30am 👋

Along with the rest of Sheringham, St. David's also held a 40's party 🌼

The afternoon started with a variation of Charades. The words were chosen randomly from a bucket, residents described, mimed , acted the word for others to guess. The game was followed by and afternoon tea of tinned meat sandwiches and warm beer in true 1940s style.

A singalong with flag waving finished the afternoon 🎶

Well this week really sees the start of Autumn. St. David's is still set up to make sure that residents can make the most of any good weather, but activities are likely to be more indoors.

Three of the Summer fete events take place over this week- the BBQ, Tombola and Fete Games. Please join us if you can 🎯

Tomorrow we are celebrating Wendy's Retirement 🥳

Yesterday, the conservatory was full with an enthusiastic audience for the Sheringham Ukulele Band on Tuesday 🎶

Then on Saturday, we have our 1940s Day to coincide with Sheringham's 1940s weekend 🇬🇧

When you next visit the Conservatory, please look up 👀

You may see that the balloons have been joined by a circle of planes. Residents spent a fun afternoon cutting out the shapes and then adding details like window and tail numbers ✈

📅 Pets are a feature of the activities this week 🐈

On Wednesday, residents will spend the afternoon Celebrating Happy Cat Month which actually runs all September

Then on Saturday, residents have the opportunity to play with Luna, who is a Toy Poodle 🐾

The competitive spirit of residents will probably be on display on Friday during the Word White Board games 🃏

Can you believe it's September already - please join us on Friday 5th September at 10.30am for the Residents' monthly coffee morning for family and friends. ☕

The week started with visits from the Hairdresser and the weekly quiz, where residents really enjoy pitting their wits against the quiz master and each other 💇‍♂️💇‍♀️

The Foot Care specialist visits today. There's an opportunity to 'dance' to the music of your choice on Wednesday. Then on Friday a Cheese and Wine afternoon will introduce residents to different wine and cheese pairings 🧀

⚠Change of Plans for Summer Fete ⚠

Due to the bleak weather forecast for this Saturday 30th August, we have decided to cancel our OUTDOOR portion of the Summer Fete.

However, all is not lost!

Please join us indoors on Saturday afternoon, to be entertained by the Sheringham Busketeers, enjoy a sweet treat of strawberries, cream and meringues along with refreshments. We will also be announcing the winners of the Hedgehog Treasure Hunt 🏆

Also keep your eyes peeled for other events labelled 'Fete Fun Month' which incorporate events such as the tombola and other stalls that would have been part of the Fete ☀

Wooden Spoon Puppets 🎭

Using a lot of glue and many different accessories, residents created wooden spoon puppets 🎨

Then a 'backstory' for their puppets was developed and performed a mini-play introducing the characters. There was a great deal of laughter over the course of the afternoon 🤣

We hope you are enjoying the weather this Summer Bank Holiday ☀

Residents will have a busy week putting the final touches together for the Summer Fete which takes place on Saturday afternoon (30th August) from 2pm -5pm 🥳

However, before the fete, residents will also be able to enjoy a garden party with the pianist Anthony Shiels providing the entertainment.

Residents are having a busy week in the run up to the August Bank Holiday 😎

There was entertainment from Rachael this afternoon. Rachael plays both the flute and piano during her concerts. Tomorrow, St. Peter's Church, Sheringham, leads the monthly communion service ⛪

Residents are also very focused on the preparations for the Summer Fete which takes place:
