Chair exercises, bicep curls, leg raises, shoulder press anything at all you can do, just start!
I really did believe I couldn’t exercise, needing two new knees and potentially now a hip.
Boy 10 years ago I was a runner, 3-5k on a regular basis, and gym goer!
How did I go from over 22 stone to a regular gym goer and swimmer?
I started with chair exercises, so determined to lose weight, get my life back and feel well!
10 minutes every other day became 35 minutes every day within weeks, as I lost weight I could move more. I lost 4 stone then joined the gym.
I was terrified of failure, of what other people thought, of getting in a swimsuit. One day I just thought F& it! I want this for me, I deserve this !
I did it, no one gave a s**t! I’ve never looked back.
If you can move a limb, you can exercise.
From bicep curls with a can of beans, to stand up sit downs, raising one leg then the other sat in a chair 🪑 what ever you can do, just do it.
Did it hurt , absolutely, like hell
Does it still hurt, yes some days it does, but in a really good way. I still struggle to walk any distance but I can now do 5 flights of stairs without stopping at work. (coming down is agony on my knees so I still take the lift)
I lift weights, incline walk, swim hard and I feel alive.
If I can, you can! 💪 🙌
Just do it!
