AI Technicians Training Course – 24th February 2026

Bookings are now open for our next Artificial Insemination Technicians Training Courses taking place on 24th February here at Twemlows Stud Farm.

This one-day, DEFRA-approved course provides practical training in artificial insemination, covering mare anatomy, semen handling, insemination technique, record keeping, health procedures and biosecurity. Delegates will take part in both written and hands-on experiences, supported by our expert reproduction team.

Designed for stud managers, breeders and veterinary professionals, the course offers a structured and comprehensive introduction to the AI process, helping attendees build confidence in their technical knowledge and practical skills.

Spent an inspiring weekend at Southerncanineimaging with an amazing group of vets, vet nurses and a frozen semen consultant, all diving deeper into the world of canine reproduction under the guidance of the incredible Professor Sandra Goericke-Pesch.

Sandra, who teaches Reproductive Medicine for dogs and cats at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover and lectures across the globe, brought her exceptional knowledge, passion, and clarity to every moment. It was a joy to watch such caring and enthusiastic professionals come together to learn from one of the very best in the field.

A huge thank you to Minitube International for providing the lovely Berta so the vets could practise TCI. She’s also used for teaching at the veterinary university in Hannover—and yes, she was extremely well behaved! 😊

I was genuinely impressed by everyone’s dedication, empathy, and professionalism. If any UK breeders are looking for vets who truly care and are committed to best practice, this group is definitely one to watch.
