Field of vision can be reduced in patients where excess eyelid skin overflows the lid margin. In these patients, field of vision increases after the procedure. Also, eye opening can be compromised in patients who feel that their eyelids are heavy because of the excess skin and they have to strain every time they open their eyes. In most patients, I think that it is important to extend the incision into the crow’s feet lines area, to get rid of the lateral hooding . This also gets rid of excess skin in this area to reduce the crow’s feet lines!
