Well, what a weekend!

Its not often I stray from the kitchen but when I do, I do it properly!

An unbelievably hot yet hugely rewarding day at Baildon Carnival with for supported by incredible artists and with Walter Lemonface giving giggles next door to us!

The days events were all thanks to Susan Moores inital brainwave to share her passion for our local artist, David Hockney. 500 giveaway cupcakes, a cutting cake to feed 100, the 5 interactive 'drawing cakes' for the kids (big and little!) and a 3 tier Hockney works tribute came thereafter....

Thanks must be extended to various people (and if I forget to name you please know its delirium from the sunshine absolutely nothing personal!)
Cakes To Please Nikkinakka ; we could not have pulled these grand plans off without you!

But the biggest thanks does have to go to the kids of Baildon. Thank you for getting involved, being enthusiastic, sharing your talents and art with us and being so polite in the process! It was geniunely a heartwarming sight to see! 💜

Very blessed to live on Moorhead Crescent, we have some fabulous neighbours

Back in January, Joan turned 90 and a collective of neighbours organised a little doorstep surprise (there was snow, singing and obviously, cake!)

90 years of this lovely womans life have involved many, many passions that could have been included, but we narrow them down to;

Her super speedy tripod
Her favourite sport
The huge hydrangea that blooms in her garden
And just one of her beloved dogs,

All handpainted and entirely edible, she let us know her favourites were of course, her dalmation dogs 🐾

Its always an honour to mark an occasion, however I'm sure you'll understand this one was particularly special

Particularly when Harveys band () featured on the soundtrack for Adam Mawson's amazing 'The Moors' film! *hence the DVD aside of sharing the same birthday date as Dad 😉*

Waaaay back in November (yes, I'm sorry I've been aloof!) it was Kirsty's 40th birthday

Given that she worked with Nifty Lifts, adores Tonys Chocolate, listens to various artists (from Rod Stewart and Lionel Ritchie, Ash and Foo Fighters) plays an instrument, sings in a choir, knits, drinks gin, is involved with the Girl Guides AND raises two amazing little lads, her Mum and I decided to bring these elements altogether to surprise her

Best comment ever; "How did Mrs B know what our wellies looked like?

Answer "Magic" 😉

Once again Jane Pilbin thank you for trusting me with your childrens milestone occasions! (And for your super kindness at the time which is not forgotten 💜)
