July Roundup at Shipston Lodge ๐๐
What a joyful and activity-packed July we've had at Shipston Lodge! We kicked off the month with music and movement during our vibrant session with Kidley Divey โ the room came alive with dancing, clapping, and infectious energy. Later, Julie Sings Karaoke brought more musical magic with beloved classics, sing-alongs, and plenty of foot-tapping fun! And speaking of celebrations, we marked an incredible milestone as our lovely Nora turned 104, surrounded by friends and fellow residents during a delightful afternoon tea at The Lamb Inn.
We also enjoyed plenty of activities to keep both body and mind active. From upper body strengthening with resistance bands to the dynamic fun of parachutes and juggling with Julie, everyone embraced the chance to move and laugh together. A tranquil yoga session with Hayley helped balance the energy with gentle stretches and calming meditation, offering residents a peaceful moment to reconnect.
Creativity bloomed this month too, with a lovely tissue flower crafting afternoon on the terrace led by Wendy โ fresh air, laughter, and colourful creations made for a perfect summer session. Meanwhile, at Poetry Corner, our dear Ann charmed us with her heartfelt recitation of โThe Snail,โ reminding us of the simple beauty in spoken word.
To top it all off, we enjoyed a spirited morning on the golf course, relaxed afternoons with dominos, and time spent soaking up the sun with a good book and a refreshing drink. July was truly a month to remember โ filled with joy, connection, and the vibrant spirit of our Shipston Lodge community. ๐ธ๐ซ
