June at Shipston Lodge was bursting with joy, sunshine, and community spirit! ☀️ We kicked off the month with visits from our furry friends—Ronny the PAT dog and Dotty the delightful pup—bringing warmth, smiles, and wagging tails.
Residents embraced the outdoors, enjoying strolls and chats in the garden, while others took a scenic trip through our beautiful countryside.
A special highlight was our visit to Alain Rouveure’s Himalayan Coffee Shop, where residents enjoyed delicious treats, explored the gallery, and learned about inspiring work in Nepal.
Creativity and connection flourished throughout the month. Our residents showcased their talent during arts and crafts sessions, weaving colourful baskets and even crafting their own hoopla game, which led to a fun-filled competition! Board games, jigsaw puzzles, and painting continued to be popular, offering relaxation and a chance to strengthen dexterity and focus.
Meanwhile, Hayley’s seated yoga brought calm energy with deep breathing and gentle movement—helping minds and bodies feel refreshed.
June also brought celebration and music, with the return of the amazing Barry Juckes who had us all singing through the decades. Our Summer Fete was a true highlight—filled with face painting, games, community laughter, and heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it such a success.
We also took time to celebrate the real heart of our home: the Shipston Lodge team. Their compassion and commitment remind us that every day here is not just about care, but about family and connection. 💛
