Vacancy:
Part-time Support Worker required to support our client, a 20-year-old young man with complex needs living in the Taunton area.

This is a great opportunity to be working alongside an energetic young man and his family, in their own home. Our client is looking for someone who is kind, caring and ideally has some experience of SEN, in addition to experience of working with children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

The role may also be suitable for somebody who currently works in childcare or is studying in a childcare or healthcare related field.

The role will involve some aspects of personal care (not all). Our client has a tracheostomy and is PEG fed, and full training will be provided to meet his care needs You will be working alongside other support workers doubling up, although some shifts may be lone working.

The role would be for 12 hours per week. This would be predominantly evenings and weekends. Weekends will be chill time, days out, taking him to football matches and day care activities. Additional hours may also be available.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised, flexible, and can fit into a loving family environment, and has had experience of working with clients with special needs but not essential.

Excellent rates of pay: £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £17.00 per hour Saturdays and Sundays.

A full clean driving licence is essential as you will be expected to drive our client's adapted vehicle.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. A full driving licence is essential.
