With 40 fully furnished and decorated rooms, all with en-suite facilities equipped to the highest standard. We also propose various lounges and a peaceful private garden. There are local shops just a stone's throw away with regular activities and frequent entertainment. We offer a r

VE Day 2026 🇬🇧

What a fantastic day we’ve had here at Richmond celebrating VE Day!

Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our coffee morning. It was so lovely to see everyone come together and enjoy a morning filled with plenty of delicious treats. As always, a big thank you to Deb and the kitchen team for putting on such a wonderful spread for us all to enjoy! 🥪

Of course the highlight of the day was our afternoon celebration, complete with bunting, flags, and lots of patriotic spirit throughout the lounge. Our residents sang along, danced, and reminisced as the incredible Anne took us on a wonderful trip down memory lane with classic songs from years gone by 🎶🇬🇧

May the 4th be with you! ✨

We had a fantastic afternoon yesterday getting into the Star Wars spirit, enjoying the films and even creating our own version of a lightsaber 🔦

We also spent some time getting creative with arts and crafts as part of a larger project we’ve been working on for National Bird Day… you’ll have to stay tuned to see the final result! 🐦

We introduced a fun new game in the lounge where residents used bean bags to knock down balloons and score points!

There was plenty of laughter all around it was a fantastic activity for encouraging hand eye coordination, upper body movement, and fine motor skills, all while enjoying a bit of friendly competition 👏

Yesterday we celebrated not one but two very special birthdays here at Richmond!

St George’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Yesterday we celebrated St George’s Day with some lovely arts and crafts, colouring in the St George’s Cross to create a bunting to display on the wall.

We of course had our flags and hats out too, really getting into the spirit of the day and marking the occasion in style! 👏

National Tea Day ☕

What a lovely day we had yesterday celebrating National Tea Day here at Richmond!

We spent the morning sampling a variety of different teas, finding new favourites and enjoying some sweet treats 🍰

We also took time to remember that it also would have marked the 100th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II and spent some time watching her on the television throughout the morning 📺

We had lots of fun trying out a new game of table ping pong using egg cartons!

Residents enjoyed aiming and bouncing the balls into the cartons, with plenty of laughs and friendly competition along the way.

This simple activity is great for improving hand eye coordination and fine motor skills, while also encouraging focus and gentle movement.

It’s definitely become a fun new favourite!👏

Yesterday we celebrated our wonderful Reg’s birthday. From all of us, both staff and residents we hope you had a fantastic day! 🎂

We also settled in for an afternoon of bingo, which is always a firm favourite with our residents 👏
