Rose Haddon Counselling Person Centred/ Integrative Counsellor About me

Welcome,

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. Warm regards

Rose

It may be that you are finding life difficult at the moment and just need a space to talk freely. It may also be that you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed and feel you need a safe space to explore this. There may have been an event in your past or more recent future that troubles you. Alternately you may have goals and aspirations that you want to achieve but are not sure how. Counselling can offer you a non-judgemental space to explore all aspects of how you are feeling, in your own time at your own pace. I am a fully qualified Person-Centred counsellor here to help. What I can offer
Providing empathy, understanding and confidentiality I hope we can build a relationship with trust that will enable you to feel comfortable to express your needs. I like to work with my clients in a collaborative way to ensure they are getting what they want from their sessions. I look forward to working alongside you with whatever you bring. Looking for the right therapist for you can feel confusing and daunting. Please feel free to contact me to chat more about what I can offer you and what your expectations are around counselling. It may be that you are not sure what you want but know that now is the time to find out. Any questions you have are welcome when you are ready. What I have experience working with

I have experience in working with the following:

anxiety
depression
addiction
body image and eating disorders
self-harm
bereavement/ Loss
relationship issues
trauma
During our initial session and throughout your counselling we can talk further about your expectations around counselling and what you want from your time. Training, qualifications & experience

My academic journey
I started my academic career studying social sciences at college and then moved on to study Criminology and Psychology at Brighton University. It was here that I realised that rather than assessing clients I wanted to be part of the therapeutic process. I started studying counselling at Level one and continued through to Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, becoming fully qualified. Working ethically
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and therefore abide by their code of ethics while working. Continued Study
I am always looking to learn more and improve my skills. I have completed further studies (CPDs) on Anger management, bereavement, addiction and working with dreams. I continue to study areas to improve my practice

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Don’t know how you feel? Or how to help yourself feel better?
Sometimes closing your eyes taking a deep breath and feeling into your body can help. Start to identify stress in the shoulders or jaw. Nerves in the tummy. An ache in the chest. These can be helpful signs of what’s going on without us realising what we feel.

Sometimes it’s hard to connect to how we feel. A question that can be helpful is how am I feeling physically and where do I feel it?
This can help to start to connect emotions, needs and identify how we can look after ourselves.

Wandering can be really helpful in processing, we don’t always have to be searching for something. It’s in the process.

Someone said “do you want to spend an hour on your own in a pod in warm water” and I couldn’t believe all my favourite things combined was a thing.

Ive never been in a floatation pod before and once I got used to it and relaxed, it was the most relaxed I’d felt in months. My nervous system is still thanking me today. Profoundly relaxed and grounding experience 💙✨🙌

One for the Bolby and Ainsworth lovers out there 💘

Secure Attachment Figures are (firstly parents) the usually partners that have certain characteristics that provide a “secure base” or “safe haven” to come back to. If looking at your attachment style interests you ask your therapist what attachment style they think you are 🙂
