🚗 4 hours in the car for 4 hours workshop??? Yes, that’s what I did on Saturday and YES it was well worth it!

👯‍♀️ I met lots of other uk hypopressives trainers and just being in a room full of people who all get it was comforting.

🫁 Hypopressives can be tricky to learn, but hearing all the success stories (both personal & clients) was so inspiring.

I love this visual by Dana Santas it really helps anyone learning hypopressives to see the movement of the ribcage and the diaphragm. Although this is a different breathing rhythm to what we do, this one is great for relaxation and slowing your thoughts down and gives you plenty of time to tune in to that movement of the ribcage.

We’re lucky to still be able to workout outside!

A little bit wet on the ground however so we did the hypopressives stretch flow inside.

We combine hypopressives with regular stretches after our 45 min circuit - building strength, support the bones and keeping supple.

🏄‍♀️ 🏊‍♀️ I went for a glorious paddle & a dip on Tuesday.

☕️ We stopped for a tea break by the Perch and when Annika offered to get the drinks it gave me an opportunity for a quick hypopressives flow.

🌊 🫁 It was just perfect with the rhythm of the waves and breathing.

First session back after the Easter break!

🏋🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏽‍♀️⚖️ Strength, agility & balance - awesome effort from the crew. Followed by 30 minutes of hypopressives.

💻 This class has evolved- from lockdown on zoom to a HIIT with hypopressives combo.

We do this on Mondays and Thursdays, contact me for details.

🐕 My dog was spying from the kitchen and wanted to join. I let her out after the session and you can see the reason why! She just hogs the equipment 😂😂

“Hypopressives is a holistic breathing technique combined with strength improving exercise that gives you the tools to engage and strengthen muscle groups that traditional exercises neglect.

Karolina is a very experienced coach and her knowledge of other techniques means that she can put all of the new work into familiar contexts to ensure you are doing things correctly. She goes at your pace and the results can be almost instantaneous once the basic practice is learned.

Hypopressives can be done anywhere as an intensive work out, or in a few minutes daily, to target certain areas.

The final, and for me most surprising bonus, is that the breathing has all sorts of other benefits. You leave the classes feeling both relaxed and energised. A gentle flow before bed helps improve my sleep.

I have noticed my posture has improved and back pain has reduced and I believe hypopressives has helped considerably with my overall mental well being. Not to mention the immediate improvement it made to my core and pelvic floor strength.
