Loving that this gorgeous galleon is still here in Shoreham… hope everyone gets a chance to see her! And… did you know sailing and Osteopathy have a lot in common? Think of the masts of the ship as our skeleton, the ropes and lines that hold the sails are our muscles, tendons and ligaments, the sails hold the wind (air) to power the ship forward, as our lungs when given space to expand (if our joints and muscles are in good condition) take in oxygen to give us life and energy … But rain, storms, too much wind or too little can be likened to external forces we can’t control but have to adapt to (all those life stresses and pressures, or physical injuries…).. not a perfect analogy but we like it… ☺️ and btw one of our osteos, Lene, is a keen sailor herself!
