As part of World Cancer Day, here’s an important reminder about the HPV vaccine 💙

The HPV vaccine helps protect young people from the virus that causes most cervical cancers.

If you’re a parent or carer, please look out for the HPV vaccine permission form.

The HPV vaccine protects against more than cervical cancer – it also helps safeguard all young adults, women and men, from ge***al warts and some cancers of the ge***al areas, a**s, and mouth/throat.

We have CAMHS Nurse Drop in sessions coming up at the following Best Start Family Hubs

Wednesday 28 January 2026, 9.30am to 11.30am at Willington
Tuesday 3 February 2026, 9.30am to 11.30am at Wheatley Hill
Tuesday 3 February 2026, 1pm to 3pm at Bishop Auckland
Wednesday 11 February 2026, 12.30pm to 2.30pm at Stanley

These sessions may be useful if your child is struggling with:

🎈low confidence and self esteem
🎈low mood
🎈worrying and anxious feelings

The CAMHS nurse will not be able to give any updates on open cases and ongoing CAMHS work during these sessions. Any questions like this should be directed to the CAMHS team supporting your child.
