A soft floral with a bit of warmth to it. Jasmine, orange flower and rose with hints of peach, finished with cedarwood, musk and patchouli. Calm and easy, like the end of a warm day

Orchard in bloom | The first of a day in scent

I wanted to share a little more about what’s been happening in the studio lately.
A few weeks ago, I felt completely stuck creatively. Nothing I was making felt right.

Then we moved into our new studio.
On one side, there’s a Victoria plum tree. On the other, a cherry blossom tree. One morning, sitting outside in the first hints of spring light, I noticed they were both just starting to bloom.

And in that moment, it clicked.
I realised I didn't have a reason behind what I was creating. So I went back inside, pulled out the oils, and started blending again. No pressure and simply just trying to capture that moment… the softness, the light, the feeling of everything beginning again.

That’s where Orchard in Bloom came from.

A blend of plum and cherry blossom, lifted with orange and aniseed, and softened with lily and jasmine. Inspired by those very trees and that exact moment.

It became the starting point for our Spring/Summer Collection. Three scents, each capturing a different moment in the day.

Together, they tell a story of morning, daylight, and evening. A full day, captured in scent.

The collection launches on the 15th April.

A heart-led session of intention, ritual, and quiet connection

There are moments where we feel the need to slow down…

to come back to ourselves.

Candles & Cacao is one of those moments.

This workshop brings together the gentle ritual of candle making with the grounding, heart-opening qualities of ceremonial cacao, creating space for reflection, intention, and meaningful pause.

The experience

Throughout the experience , you’ll be held in a calm, welcoming space where creativity and ritual come together naturally.

You’ll be guided through a cacao ceremony with Paula Williams, using ceremonial-grade cacao traditionally known for its connection to the heart.

Often referred to as a heart-opener, cacao has been used for centuries in ritual settings to encourage emotional clarity, presence, and a deeper connection to self and others. It’s rich in natural compounds like theobromine, which gently stimulates the body while supporting a sense of warmth and openness, not in a rush or intensity, but in a soft, grounding way.

Alongside this, you’ll be guided through creating your own candle, thoughtfully crafted with your personal intention at its centre.

This isn’t just about scent or wax, it’s about creating something meaningful. A candle that holds a moment, a feeling, or something you’d like to call in more of.

This weekend we’re popping up in Shrewsbury, our first pop-up here of the year, and honestly, a proper chance to see you all again feels very overdue.

So many of you first found AQ through our Shrewsbury shop but recently I’ve also seen loads of new local names come through on orders too, which makes this feel like the perfect moment to leave the studio for a bit and actually come into an SY postcode to say hello properly and have a good old jolly catch-up.

The Aromatherapy Candle Experience is a slow, ritual-led gathering created for moments when life feels a little too fast.

You’ll be guided through essential oils, their aromatherapy properties, and the art of intuitive blending before hand-pouring your own full-sized candle, slowly, intentionally, and without rush.

Limited to just 8 spaces so the experience can remain calm, intimate, and deeply held.
