Travelling to the Living Well with Dementia, Sight and Hearing Loss exhibition is simple with a free shuttle bus running from Shrewsbury bus and train stations.

The exhibition takes place on 16 June, offering information, technology and support for anyone affected by dementia, sight loss or hearing loss.

Parenting can be full of ups, downs, big feelings and lots of learning — for both you and your child! Come and join to chat about what’s going on for you and your family. Together we’ll make sense of tricky moments and share simple ideas that can make life calmer and more positive.

While minor bumps and bruises are part of growing up, accidents are one of the leading causes of serious injury in young children.

Luckily, most are preventable with the right knowledge. This short, interactive course helps you understand:

• What the most serious home accidents are for under 5s
• The key risk factors that increase the chance of injury
• The most effective, practical steps you can take straight away to reduce these risks
• What immediate first aid to give to stop an injury from becoming more serious

You’ll leave the session feeling more confident, more prepared, and better equipped to keep your child safe at home.

From Monday (13 April) you can recycle food and liquid cartons (sometimes called TetraPak) in your purple-lidded bin (or boxes). Please just remember to keep everything loose (no bags please!)

What cartons can you recycle?

✅ Milk cartons (longlife, oat, almond, soy)
✅ Juice and smoothie cartons (all sizes!)
✅ Protein shake cartons
✅ Soup, stock and broth cartons
✅ Sauce cartons

PLUS you can still recycle the following in your purple-lidded bin/boxes:

♻️ Plastic bottles, tubs and trays
♻️ Tins and cans
♻️ Glass bottles and jars

🚗 And you can still drop off cartons at your local Household Recycling Centre if you need to.
