💐 Farewell Sue 💐
On Thursday we said goodbye to Sue, our amazing Activities Coordinator. Sue was truly one of a kind always thinking outside the box and bringing creativity, fun, and enthusiasm into everything she did.
She was a massive asset to Briarfields, and her passion and dedication made such a difference to residents, families, and staff alike. Sue will be greatly missed, but her impact will be remembered for a long time to come.
We wish you all the very best for the future, Sue. Thank you for everything 💙✨

Yesterday we celebrated Chinese New Year with a fun cultural activity! 🧧🐉

Some of our residents had a go at writing their names in Chinese characters they did an amazing job and really embraced the challenge. ✍️✨

A few of them also enjoyed tasting a Chinese gooseberry (also known as golden kiwi) 😁🥝 It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and trying something new!

This morning we enjoyed a game of “Play Your Cards Right” with lots of lucky winners – well done everyone! 🃏🎉
This afternoon we were entertained by the fantastic singer and keyboard player John Edwards. It was wonderful to sing along and enjoy some great music together. 🎶✨

Do you enjoy making a difference and bringing smiles to others? We’re looking for a caring and creative Activity Coordinator to join our lovely care home team.
🕒 Hours: 12 hours per week
⏰ Ideal for school hours
📍 Location: Care Home setting
About the role:
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities that support the wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment of our residents. From arts & crafts and games to gentle exercise and social events, you’ll help make every day meaningful.
We’re looking for someone who is:
✔ Friendly, patient, and compassionate
✔ Creative and enthusiastic
✔ Well organised and reliable
✔ Experience in care or activities is desirable, but not essential – full support provided

On Friday, we said goodbye to Kat, our Day Shift Leader and an important part of our team 💙
She worked side by side with everyone, supporting the team and helping each day run smoothly. While she’s stepping away from her role, she’s still staying on with the company and will be back to visit and help out when she can.
We’re thankful for everything she’s contributed and look forward to working with her again soon. Thank you, Kat! We will miss you👏

We’ve had a wonderfully busy day here at Briarfields!
This morning, our residents got creative making beautiful flower arrangements, filling the rooms with colour, smiles, and lovely floral scents 💐
This afternoon was all about fun and laughter as we enjoyed a lively game of Hollywood Favourites Picture Bingo 🎬🎉 It was great to see everyone reminiscing, chatting, and cheering each other on.
A big thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make today so special days like these are what Briarfields is all about ❤️
