Loved visiting Pravera who are distributorship Lavera and Benecos we sell in the shop

We don't get many customer visits to our HQ in rural Dumfries and Galloway, so it was great when the lovely Paula from Shrewsbury Herbarium popped in while up on holiday 😀

The store has been a customer of ours for over 20 years so it was so nice for Paula to meet the team in person and get a wee tour of the warehouse.

Things that have helped me feel better this week:

acupuncture, rest, meditation, pranayama, arnica (ingested and topical), comfrey (ingested and topical), paracetamol, acceptance, nature, welcoming help from others ❤️

Things that have not helped me feel better this week:

resistance, shame, super strong painkillers from the doctor 🤮

🌿 Wayside Herb of the Month: Field Horsetail - Equisetum arvense 🌿

Horsetails are often described as living fossils, as they are apparent surviving relatives of flora which dominated - both in terms of species number and size - forests which Dinosaurs inhabited in the carboniferous period over 300 million years ago.

Horsetails reproduce through spores rather than seeds, as well as underground rhizomes, so they do not flower, but instead have both ‘fruiting’ stems and ‘barren’ stems which do not produce spores, the latter are sometimes preferentially collected for medicine.
