Lately, I’ve been reminded just how important it is to slow down, listen to your body, and be kind to yourself ❤️
We live in such a fast-paced world where we’re always pushing, always doing — but our bodies aren’t designed to stay in that constant state of stress. When we do, it can show up as tension, fatigue, overwhelm, and even physical discomfort.
This is where the vagus nerve comes in — often called the body’s “calm switch.”
It helps move us out of fight-or-flight and into rest, repair, and healing.
When your nervous system feels safe, your body can:
💕Release held tension
💕Improve sleep
💕Support digestion
💕Begin to truly heal
But when we’re run down or going through a difficult time, that system can become overwhelmed — and that’s when we need to gently support ourselves the most.
This is your reminder that healing isn’t just about pushing through , it’s about pausing, nurturing, and allowing your body the time it needs …..
Simple things can help:
💕Slowing your breath
💕Taking moments of stillness
💕Gentle, nurturing touch
💕Rest, repair and healing
When I’m well enough to be back at work, I’ll be here to support your body in finding its balance again — physically and emotionally 💕
Be gentle with yourself. You’re doing better than you think ❤️
