A gentle reminder I didn’t expect to need…
I really thought I’d be a little further along in my healing by now…
but after a recent post-op infection, my body has gently asked me to slow down.
And it’s reminded me of something I often share with my clients… Facia
This beautiful, intricate web of connective tissue wraps around every muscle, organ and structure in the body — holding everything in place, allowing us to move, stretch and feel.
But fascia is also deeply responsive.
It tightens when we’re stressed.
It protects when we’re healing.
And it can become restricted when the body has been through trauma, surgery or inflammation.
Which means healing isn’t just about the surface…
it’s about giving the body time and space to soften from within.
To rehydrate.
To gently unwind.
This is why I believe so deeply in slow, intentional touch — not forcing the body, but supporting it back to ease.
And right now, it’s exactly what I’m learning to offer myself too.
Be kind to yourself ❤️
