Our Grief Cafés - run by Shropshire Grief Tending CIC - are about bringing conversations around death, dying and grief back into the heart of our communities.

Too often, grief is carried quietly behind closed doors and drawn curtains. Here, we make space for those conversations to be open, genuine, and deeply respected.

All forms of grief are welcome — whether you are mourning a loved one, a pet, changes in community, the shifting of our planet, or the heartbreak of the wider world. No grief is too big or too small.

These are drop-in gatherings, donation-based, where everyone is welcome. A place where words are valued, listening is gentle, and being together matters.

I think we can all feel a bit low at this time of year as we spend more time indoors and don't get as much natural light 🌨️

Well, as part of our offer this year, we have a light therapy lamp available for anyone to borrow while they're using the library!
