BREAKING: The Constitutional Court has ruled to dismiss Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra from office following a leaked phone call with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen.
The whole Cabinet will also be ousted from office according to the Constitution. The House will convene to elect Thailand’s new leader.
The court stated that while there was no apparent dishonesty, the Prime Minister’s negotiations with Samdech Hun Sen, as described in the audio clip, failed to protect national interests and placed Hun Sen’s interests above those of the nation. This was deemed a serious breach of ethical standards, leading to her disqualification.
