Thanks to patients cancelling appointments that were no longer needed, we have been able to offer additional same day appointments to those needing urgent help.

Cancelling an appointment that is no longer needed means that it can be offered to another patient. Whether it is in 2 weeks time, tomorrow or today a cancelled appointment can be re-used.

Appointments can be cancelled by either -

- Replying to your appointment reminder text
- Using our automated "Check and Cancel" service on the phone line
- By cancelling on your NHS app

A message from SATH -

"On Tuesday, 28th October, we will be temporarily closing our Breast Screening Department at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital to host a dedicated Breast Screening Awareness Day for individuals living with a learning disability or who are neurodiverse. The aim is to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive environment where attendees can learn more about the breast screening process and general breast health. Carers are also very welcome to attend, either with or without the person they support."

Thanks to everyone who came in on Saturday for a flu vaccination 💉

We were able to vaccinate nearly 900 people in 4 hours. Thank you to all of the patients who attended and made the morning a success.

We hope you agree that the morning ran smoothly, but if you do have any feedback to give then please contact the surgery.

📢IMPORTANT📢

We are currently experiencing issues with all 3 of our lifts in the practice. The issues have been reported to our landlords who in turn have highlighted an urgent request to the engineers - someone should be along today.

If you are having difficulties accessing the practice, please call the surgery and a member of reception will assist you as best they can.

The surgery will be closed for staff training from 12.30pm on Wednesday 8th October and will reopen at 8.30am on Thursday 9th October.

During this time, patients can still visit their local pharmacy, contact 111 for medical advice or call 999 in an emergency
