ALAN HUGHES
18.04.1955 - 03.09.2025

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Alan (known to many as 'Al' or 'Hughsey') passed away on 3rd September 2025.

He fought a long illness with such courage and determination.

A beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend, he will be so deeply missed.

Our lives will never be the same again.

The funeral service will be held at Emstrey crematorium Shrewsbury, on Friday 10th October, at 11.30am.

Followed afterwards by a Celebration of Alan's life at Shrewsbury Golf Club.

In Lieu of flowers, all kind donations will support the Respiratory Ward 24 at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

The family kindly requests that attendees wear respectful attire, with a splash of red.

It is with sadness we announce the death of

ARTHUR MANTERFIELD, of Shrewsbury.

Much loved Husband of Marie, loving Father to Catherine and Margaret. Devoted Grandpa of Joanne, Heather, Sarah and Angus and Great Grandpa to Felicity.

Arthur passed away peacefully on August 5th 2025, aged 96 years, after a life well lived.

His funeral service will take place at St Giles Church, Shrewsbury on Wednesday 27th August at 3pm.
