Meet the face of the business......... well how it looked 10 years ago anyway!

My names Lynsey.............. and today I would like to share something deeply personal with you.

Divine You was formed when I was going through one of the darkest times in my life. I had been in an abusive relationship and planning to leave it for a good few months, I waited for him to go to work before fleeing with my 1 year old baby and being placed in a hotel by the council and suddenly I had nothing, suddenly I was alone with a 1 year old baby suffering with postnatal depression and anxiety from the level of coercive control I had endured. Nothing was secure anymore, We were left with nothing! No stability, no income, and no choice but to rebuild from the ground up. I needed something to fit around my life, I had to survive, I had to do something to ensure my baby was provided for and something where I could be present whenever needed. I needed to be my own boss!

From that disaster, Divine You Aesthetics and training was created. I worked damn hard and went on 3 training courses over the first 2 years starting with semi permanent brows in order to be able to offer what I do followed by multiple training courses after getting into debt to do so! The pure resilience, determination, and a mother’s love took over and I launched myself into making this business thrive from working at home with a clinic setup for 4 years to now having my premises in Shrewsbury for the last 4 years. 8 years strong and my passion for it continues to grow.

My background in healthcare/childcare and the residential industry put me in good stead for progressing my career by undertaking a degree in nursing to not only support my business but enable me to give back more to the world when people are at some of their lowest points in life. I Equally love being able to help people whether it be feeling better in their skin cosmetically or helping people recover mentally and physically.

Divine You Aesthetics is my reminder that I am a strong, woman that rose up from the ground when i had hit rock bottom. Its proof you can lose everything and still rebuild something amazing and I cant tell you enough how truly grateful I am for all the beautiful people that have supported me in my journey along the way.

Here's to another 8 years and continuing to support and inspire others to be their strongest best self too ♥️

Took the time out this evening to have a salt bath and actually give myself a treatment as some hormonal spots and larger pores were starting to appear so I've treated myself to an antibacterial chemical peel and microneedling and may now look a little sunburnt! Should fade in a couple of hours though and the results will be well worth it and continue to improve over the coming months 💓
