🔑 THE KEY OF HEKATE 🌙

Placed upon my left arm – the side of intuition, the subconscious, and receiving divine wisdom.

This is not merely ink on skin… it is my Wand, my Sceptre, my Power.

It honours Hekate, the Goddess of Witchcraft, the Crossroads, and the Liminal Spaces. She is the Keeper of Keys, the Guardian between worlds, and the guide through darkness.

It represents the Key of Hekate, the Goddess of Crossroads, Magic, Night and Moonlight. She holds the power to unlock doors between worlds, to see what is hidden, and to navigate the darkness with wisdom and strength.

🌙 THE MOON

At the head, the crescent moon honours her divine feminine power, the cycles of life, death and rebirth, and the mystery of the night.

It is placed above the heart, the crescent moon watches over it. It represents her three-fold nature: Maiden, Mother, Crone. It connects me to the tides, the cycles, and the mysteries of the night.

🖤 THE HEART-SHAPED BOW

The key to the heart. It signifies that true power comes from within. It unlocks the gates to hidden knowledge, spiritual truth, and the deepest parts of my soul.

🌿 THE VINES & GROWTH

Wrapping the shaft are leaves and life. They show that magic is organic, wild, and ever-growing.
They symbolise that even in the shadows, we flourish. That magick is natural, wild, and rooted deep.

✨ THE STARS

Eternal lights guiding my way. They are my protection, my clarity, and my connection to the cosmos.
Guiding lights in the dark. They represent protection, clarity, and the eternal light that guides my path.

THE MEANING:

This key unlocks my own power. It opens doors to knowledge, spirit, and truth

One of the most beloved and ancient Beltane traditions – steeped in folklore, beauty, and earth magic ✨

🌿 What is it?

On the morning of May 1st (Beltane), before the sun rises, the dew that settles on grass, leaves and flowers is believed to hold extraordinary power. It’s thought to be charged with the energy of the earth and the moon, making it one of the most sacred substances of the year.

✨ The Beliefs & Powers

Across Britain, Ireland and Europe, May dew was said to bring:

🌸 Beauty & Youth

• Washing your face in it was believed to keep skin clear, smooth and free of blemishes, freckles, sunburn and wrinkles for the whole year.

• Some traditions said rolling in the dew would grant great beauty and a glowing complexion.

• Even just collecting it in jars and applying it later was thought to work wonders – just let it dry naturally, don’t wipe it off!

💚 Healing & Protection

• It was used as a remedy for sore eyes, headaches, skin ailments, weak joints and even swelling.

• In some areas, dew gathered under oak trees or hawthorn bushes was considered extra potent.

• It was also believed to protect against illness and bad luck.

❤️ Love & Fertility

• For those looking for love, it was said to attract a suitable partner and boost fertility – perfect for Beltane, the festival of union and growth.

• It was even used as an ingredient in love spells and blessings.

🛠️ For Men Too

• Folklore says washing hands in May dew made men skillful at mending nets, disentangling ropes, and opening knots or locks – handy for practical work!

🕯️ How to do it

1. Go out before sunrise on May 1st – the earlier, the more potent ✨

2. Collect dew with your hands, a soft cloth, or glass jars directly from grass and plants.

3. Apply gently to your face, hands or body – let it dry naturally.

4. Some traditions say you must do it alone and without speaking to anyone, or the magic will be lost.

5. You can also store it in sealed jars to use throughout the year for rituals or skincare.
Even today, people still gather at dawn to honour this beautiful custom 🥰

Beltane Blessings 🌿🔥

This is not a quiet energy.
This is not the soft unfolding of early spring.

This is the moment the earth says yes — loudly, fully, without hesitation.

Sap is rising.
Desire is rising.
Life is no longer asking for permission to grow… and neither should you.

Beltane is fire and flesh, instinct and truth.
It’s the space where the parts of you you’ve kept contained begin to stretch, stir, and speak.

Not everything that awakens today will feel comfortable.
Growth rarely does.

But there is something powerful in letting yourself feel it anyway —
the pull, the heat, the knowing that something inside you is ready to live more fully.
