Missed a bit?
I got you.

Don’t feel embarrassed - getting those hard to reach areas is tricky. I’d rather help than you break a limb in the shower trying to get every last hair.

Teamwork 👊🏼

Side note - YES, it’s IMPORTANT to shave and shave WELL, ahead of your appointment.
The closer the shave, the shorter the hair.
The shorter the hair - the smaller the distance the laser has to travel before it meets its destination..

Things you don’t need to apologise for!
I love you all exactly as you are; makeup free, comfy trackies, straight from work, straight from a breakup….you name it, zero judgements here.

And no, underarm crew, you don’t smell 😆😆
It’s me that’s told you not to wear deodorant anyway😘

Can I get laser if I ….

- Am pregnant ?
No. Laser is not recommended during pregnancy, not due to any known safety issues, but due to continuing fluctuations in your hormones. These are all necessary to keep you healthy and your perfect little on board passenger cooking nicely 🤍 Come see me once you’re in the postnatal period and hormones have settled. We can chat about motherhood and you can tell me all about your birth story ☺️
- Am on my period
Absolutely, as long as you feel comfortable this is no issue at all. Just be mindful that you may have heightened sensitivity during this magical week (🥴) so you may feel a change to the usual sensation you experience.
- On medication
Potentially! All new clients are required to fill in a medical history form, which is to included any medication you maybe taking. Ongoing clients are obliged to confirm they have no new health issues or have commenced on new medication.
This is for two reasons;
1) some medication can cause photosensitivity, a condition which makes the skin particularly sensitive to light. Treating you while on this kind of medication could cause significant damage your skin - safety is always our number one priority ❤️‍🩹
2) it could impact your results, so in short - you’d be wasting your money, and nobody wants that 💸💸

My inbox is always open for you; there are no silly questions and no obligations to book following a discussion.

💧Stay hydrated 💧

Hydrated skin is healthy & happy skin

Staying hydrated allows the skin to stay supple and increases its elasticity. This subsequently promotes the healing process, reduces irritation and potential side effects post treatment, overall resulting in improved results.
It can even mean a more comfortable treatment (aka reduced discomfort on those particularly sensitive areas - if you know, you know 😬😆)

How to stay hydrated?
- Water, water and more water 💧
- Eat water rich foods such as cucumber, melon, tomato, courgette, peppers ..🥒🍅🫑
- Use hydrating skin care products, including SPF on your face, even on days where there sun is hiding behind the clouds ⛅️
- Avoid dehydrating substances such as alcohol & caffeine (tea, coffee, energy drinks, cocoa)☕️🍷🍫

It is always advised to avoid sun exposure before and after your laser hair removal sessions, for a minimum of two weeks. This is to protect your skin and allow you to get maximum results from your treatment.

With the temperatures reducing and less requirement for shorts/skirts and general skin exposure, this makes autumn the perfect time to start laser hair removal.
