Our theme for November in the hub is the physical symptoms of menopause. We have been discussing aching joints & muscles and the role of magnesium, cardiac issues and the connection between a healthy body & a healthy mind.

Membership includes a closed page where research based information, motivational messsges and discussions are posted. Members can ask questions, read information and feel a sense of online connection. There is also access here to videos of our monthly expert talks, so members can catch up on any they missed or watch again if they wish.

We had our first in person event on Wednesday evening last week, which was a huge success. Linda Van Doorn, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist came to talk to us about pelvic health in menopause. She explained what was normal, when and how to seek further help if needed and lots of self help tips too. It was fascinating and we all left with a plan of small changes which will make a huge difference.

In addition to the knowledge we gained, the sense of being together and supporting one another is a big part of our in person meetings. And Wednesday was no exception, the atmosphere was fantastic, with everyone joining in the discussions and sharing their thoughts and experiences and of course there was laughter - Linda had props!!!!
We provide warm drinks and nibbles, along with a supportive, non judgmental approach.

If you would like any further information about Shropshire Menopause Hub membership or you are interested in attending any of our in person or online monthly talks on a pay as you go guest basis you can comment here or direct message or view our website shropshiremenopausehub.com

How is your pelvic health?

Ever had that dash to the loo or needing to be in the brace position for a cough, sneeze, laugh?

We navigate many changes in midlife but some are rarely talked about openly and can have a big impact on our lives.
Menopause is a normal physiological event and we are beginning to talk more openly about some aspects but there are still some taboo areas!

Shropshire Menopause Hub has been created to allow midlife women the freedom to explore and talk about all areas of midlife, in a safe space, with expert speakers and a supportive group setting.

We have invited the amazing Linda Van Doorn to join us for our first in person talk,

Pelvic health in midlife, 7-9pm, at Darwin Community Centre, Shrewsbury.

And, you are all invited to join us!!!
