Hello to you all!!

Tomorrow evening will be the last Midlife me time in it’s current format and I want to take a moment to thank everyone that has ever attended. What started out as a nervous “Will this work and will anyone come along” turned into a wonderful community. I absolutely loved every minute and learned something from every speaker. The sense of community was very special and I felt lifted by just that alone.

I’m joining forces with Sarah Summers and Shirley Lane as we launch Shropshire Menopause Hub which combines our strengths and skills to offer women clarity, confidence and connection. You can find out more about the hub tomorrow evening and on Facebook and Instagram.

It is a membership programme and there will be a special offer for anyone attending tomorrow evening or signing up to the email newsletter. The offer lasts 24 hours and is valid for life - there is no tie ins or joining fees and the offer is so good!!!
The bonus of joining so early in the program, is not just a financial offer but to help shape the group.

I would love to see you tomorrow evening and hopefully within Shropshire Menopause Hub to continue our community with the additional benefits Sarah and Shirley bring with them.

Nicky x

Ciao from Gabicce, Italy 🇮🇹

Hard to believe that a few years ago I would have struggled to enjoy a holiday properly, due to a huge drop in self confidence as the menopause arrived.

Changes really happened when I joined a coaching group, by looking at why I was feeling as I was and working through how to make improvements with the help of not only a coach but a fantastic group of women. The power of connection was a huge boost, both online and in person, in this group of women we supported, listened and encouraged each other to achieve our own individual goals.

This has been my motivation when setting up Shropshire Menopause Hub, along with Sarah Summers Nutrition and Shirley Lane - Balancing Butterflies. We each bring something important to the group and connection is my focus, encouraging midlife women to be together both in person and online. By sharing stories, encouragement and just being there for each other we can feel supported and use the safe space created to navigate our own menopausal journey positively.

Shropshire Menopause Hub has been created for anyone who the menopause affects, here in Shropshire. Combining our individual skills of Science, Mindset and Connection we have developed a hub where women can access education about menopause issues, receive support and access a community of local women.

We open the doors on Wednesday 17th September and there is an opening offer for anyone who signs up for the news letter or attends Midlife me time on that date.

I can’t wait to warmly welcome you to Shropshire Menopause Hub.

One of my favourite views!
Now I have discovered what makes me happy, I truly embrace it. A beach, my family and these two gorgeous & quirky creatures. At one time I just couldn’t even enjoy the simple things.

When I was in the thick of menopause, I thought I just had to get on with it. I didn’t want to ‘bother’ anyone or talk about what was happening.

But when I finally opened up to a group of women who were going through the same thing, it was like a weight lifted. I realised I wasn’t broken, and I wasn’t alone.

That’s why I’m so passionate about creating spaces for connection — and why I’m part of the Shropshire Menopause Hub.

Because when women come together, everything feels lighter.

✨ Doors open soon.”

Huge thanks to Noelle Watson for coming along to talk to us last night.
I have come away with lots of plans and will use Noelle’s tips too. In fact, I kicked procrastination to the ground this morning and headed for the gym.

A really great group, who all created such a lovely atmosphere and great discussion, thank you all.

Just planning the next session and will let you know the details asap.

What does the word “exercise “ conjure up in your mind???

For me, right now in midlife, it is something that I know I should do but don’t think I do enough of!
Does that sound familiar??

There is an element of confusion though, as exercise used to be all about cardio and burning up calories but now in midlife the advice is weights to build muscle.

If I’m honest, I’m using this “confusion “ to avoid exercising a bit! Traditionally, exercise meant hard work, pain, exhaustion and not much fun, however, if we replace the word exercise with movement, more enjoyable experiences, like a walk or swim seem much more appealing.

With this confusion and avoidance in mind, I have arranged for the fabulous Noelle Watson to come to talk to us at Midlife me time on Thursday 29th May, 7:30 - 21:30 at St. Peter’s Church and Community hall, SY2 5 BE.

Noelle will explain how exercise actually benefits us in midlife and really importantly makes us feel good. No Lycra required, no judgment at all, maybe some gentle movement if you want to or sit and listen if you prefer.

Cost £12, payable on the night, to include refreshments, no booking required, just turn up.

You will leave with a clearer picture of the importance and benefits of movement and exercise in midlife and just what you can do to make this happen easily in your life.

As always a warm welcome and never any judgment awaits you. Feel free to join in discussions or sit and listen, arrive with friends or on your own.

I’m really looking forward to meeting you.
